  1. AND, in the 'that's baseball' category he gets the 2nd out off a 112 mph rocket directly to Yoshwar Garcia in LF. LOL.
  2. Second inning in a row Rodriguez has two men aboard via absolute duck farts into shallow RF. Castillo missed a sliding catch by a matter of inches. Men on 1st and 2nd in the 2nd frame. One down.
  3. He escapes via a weakly hit pop fly to shallow RF. Good thing. He was approaching 30 pitches.
  4. Aquino has found some two out trouble here in the 1st. He just surrendered a full count walk to put men on the corners after the earlier one out double. Now, he has surrendered an RBI single to RF. Men on 1st and 2nd. Pitch count at 25. 1-0 deficit.
  5. Hall continues to allow way to many base runners for me to take his call-up all that seriously. I continue to have serious concerns about his heater - I just haven't seen any plus consistency there whatsoever. He worked around runners on the corners in the first frame and got the K swinging to end the threat (on a slider - his off-speed continues to be his best blend of pitches by my eyes by a good stretch).
  6. At this early juncture I certainly can't vehemently disagree with you. Every ball he has hit beyond the infield has been absolutely scorched. That 1st AB double was absolutely smashed.
  7. THAT is an uncanny amount of strength. One of the absolute hardest parts of any Carolina League Park to hit it out. He didn't even get all of that. Was an insane poke.
  8. Meanwhile, LHP DL Hall starts his outing with a five pitch walk. One competitive pitch.
  9. Nothing cheap about going Left CF in the Nats ball park for reference. 7-0 Muddies.
  10. Three Run Moon Shoot got caught in the wind. 429 feet and he snuck it over. LOL. My baseball gods.
  11. My word. Bitonti. That. Is. All.
  12. Pratt nods to his ol' teammate and takes a full count for a walk himself to open his series in Quad Cities. Lead-off man aboard. Baez, meanwhile was just plunked on the left hip and he is down in pain outside the 1B line. Trainer coming out to check on him.
  13. Two trips to the dish. Two times on base. A 2nd AB 5 pitch free pass for Yophery.
  14. Rodriguez escapes via his 2nd K (swinging and missing on high heat) and a ground out to Di Turi at SS. 4-0 and we are on to the second frame.
  15. Man an absolute goose snort 65 mph blooper found the RF grass. Men on the corners one down for Rodriguez.
  16. We both know that ball was ripped deep to RF. We both know Nats' hurler LHP Jacob Manfredi was on the bump.
  17. Five straight pokes. 3 dubs. 2 singles. 4-of-5 absolutely lumbered into the OF grass. That was a 97 mph casual single just now. Nobody out. Castillo fouled a first pitch scorched down the 1B line.
  18. Di Turi works an 0-2 count full. He rips a dart into CF for a single. It's 4-0 Mudcats baby. Let's GO!
  19. Adamczewski rips a rocket off the starter Polanco's foot and it caroms into shallow RF. That ball was also ripped. Two runs cross. It's 3-0 Muddies. Adamczewski on 2B. Nobody out. Di Turi to the dish.
  20. OH BOY. He rips a dart off the LF wall. Another first pitch rocket. My goodness. Man, I'd love to see some statcast data on Rodriguez and Bitonti's pokes. Those balls were scorched. Men on 2nd and 3rd. Nobody out. 1-0 Muddies.
  21. Baez follows suit by poking a 1-2 off-speed pitch into shallow LF. Men on the corners. Nobody out. Bitonti will look to do some damage.
  22. CF Yophery Rodriguez wasted absolutely no time bouncing back from a fairly pedestrian series last week. He smashed a first pitch double to the RF wall - his 18th double of his season.
  23. RHP Harold Chirino was moved to the Development List by the Nashville Sounds 1B/DH Wes Clarke was placed on the Temporarily Inactive List by the Nashville Sounds
  24. That is a really good question! I don't know the finer details of how this works but I imagine there is definitely some type of parlay going on with the close of the ACL season, draft signings finalizing (and consequent roster allocations) and finalizing roster constructions stateside. There will likely be some stateside releases upcoming or IL changes to help to that end.
  25. You are too kind, Brock. But, honestly, you're right... (don't forget about Daniel too - incredible acumen and insights for roster moves and construction - always offers extremely insightful tidbits about what he's reading in the tea leaves) @Jmac, you've arrived at the perfect time. The system is as deep as it has ever been - down to the very lowest of levels where we can easily make the argument (at least in the field player department) the greatest depth is aged 17-to-20. We've also seen an incredible blossoming in our community of 'Fanatics' who passionately follow the goings ons in this crucial component of a successful Brewers ball club. Personally, it's what I find to be so alluring about baseball and the small market racket - you absolutely MUST develop your lower levels chess board or you will be mired in sub-par mediocrity ad finitum. Jim, Daniel, and I write the daily reports - believe me, a labor of Love. But, we do Love it. However, I would be remiss if I didn't point out there are so many valuable posters here on a daily and weekly basis who contribute in myriad ways with their insights and passion. @Spencer Michaeliswrites fantastic monthly warp-up reports and is active in the Twittersphere and has to put up with @Jack Stern in a Brewer Fanatic podcast. @wiguy94likely watches almost as much Brewers Minor League baseball as I do (I don't even want to share with you my hours count in 2024 - frankly, it's embarrassing but I wear my rosy cheeks with pride) and has a keen understanding of advanced statistical trends and categories (not to mention, he may be Brewers regional scout Ginger Poulson's nephew. Need to confirm😁). @CheeseheadInQCis a guru with the numbers and prognosticating deep dives and has an absolutely awesome periodical blog. @biedergbis back in full form and active in the game threads. @Jim French Stepstoolalways gifts us with late night appearances and comments. @sveumrulesreally adds those fill-in game synopsis when we really need them not to mention always one for keenly insightful statistical observations across the Brewers universe. I could go on and on. I apologize to any of you I left out I am simply deep in schematizing tonight's report before games start in 15 minutes. The point being is you've arrived at literally the perfect time to get interested in the Brewers Minor League system. The future is 2,000+ Lumens bright for our little MLB ball club back in the city many of us call home (or used to call home - like myself, I was born and raised just outside Milwaukee only 15 minutes from County Stadium).
