  1. Five straight pokes. 3 dubs. 2 singles. 4-of-5 absolutely lumbered into the OF grass. That was a 97 mph casual single just now. Nobody out. Castillo fouled a first pitch scorched down the 1B line.
  2. Di Turi works an 0-2 count full. He rips a dart into CF for a single. It's 4-0 Mudcats baby. Let's GO!
  3. Adamczewski rips a rocket off the starter Polanco's foot and it caroms into shallow RF. That ball was also ripped. Two runs cross. It's 3-0 Muddies. Adamczewski on 2B. Nobody out. Di Turi to the dish.
  4. OH BOY. He rips a dart off the LF wall. Another first pitch rocket. My goodness. Man, I'd love to see some statcast data on Rodriguez and Bitonti's pokes. Those balls were scorched. Men on 2nd and 3rd. Nobody out. 1-0 Muddies.
  5. Baez follows suit by poking a 1-2 off-speed pitch into shallow LF. Men on the corners. Nobody out. Bitonti will look to do some damage.
  6. CF Yophery Rodriguez wasted absolutely no time bouncing back from a fairly pedestrian series last week. He smashed a first pitch double to the RF wall - his 18th double of his season.
  7. RHP Harold Chirino was moved to the Development List by the Nashville Sounds 1B/DH Wes Clarke was placed on the Temporarily Inactive List by the Nashville Sounds
  8. That is a really good question! I don't know the finer details of how this works but I imagine there is definitely some type of parlay going on with the close of the ACL season, draft signings finalizing (and consequent roster allocations) and finalizing roster constructions stateside. There will likely be some stateside releases upcoming or IL changes to help to that end.
  9. You are too kind, Brock. But, honestly, you're right... (don't forget about Daniel too - incredible acumen and insights for roster moves and construction - always offers extremely insightful tidbits about what he's reading in the tea leaves) @Jmac, you've arrived at the perfect time. The system is as deep as it has ever been - down to the very lowest of levels where we can easily make the argument (at least in the field player department) the greatest depth is aged 17-to-20. We've also seen an incredible blossoming in our community of 'Fanatics' who passionately follow the goings ons in this crucial component of a successful Brewers ball club. Personally, it's what I find to be so alluring about baseball and the small market racket - you absolutely MUST develop your lower levels chess board or you will be mired in sub-par mediocrity ad finitum. Jim, Daniel, and I write the daily reports - believe me, a labor of Love. But, we do Love it. However, I would be remiss if I didn't point out there are so many valuable posters here on a daily and weekly basis who contribute in myriad ways with their insights and passion. @Spencer Michaeliswrites fantastic monthly warp-up reports and is active in the Twittersphere and has to put up with @Jack Stern in a Brewer Fanatic podcast. @wiguy94likely watches almost as much Brewers Minor League baseball as I do (I don't even want to share with you my hours count in 2024 - frankly, it's embarrassing but I wear my rosy cheeks with pride) and has a keen understanding of advanced statistical trends and categories (not to mention, he may be Brewers regional scout Ginger Poulson's nephew. Need to confirm😁). @CheeseheadInQCis a guru with the numbers and prognosticating deep dives and has an absolutely awesome periodical blog. @biedergbis back in full form and active in the game threads. @Jim French Stepstoolalways gifts us with late night appearances and comments. @sveumrulesreally adds those fill-in game synopsis when we really need them not to mention always one for keenly insightful statistical observations across the Brewers universe. I could go on and on. I apologize to any of you I left out I am simply deep in schematizing tonight's report before games start in 15 minutes. The point being is you've arrived at literally the perfect time to get interested in the Brewers Minor League system. The future is 2,000+ Lumens bright for our little MLB ball club back in the city many of us call home (or used to call home - like myself, I was born and raised just outside Milwaukee only 15 minutes from County Stadium).
  10. Well, technically, that could certainly be happening and may have happened already. BUT, we go off of officially announced assignments. It's too easy to get over-excited and get out ahead of ourselves - we've done so and been burned before. SO, those are official placements and we know (via footage) Burke and Payne, at least, have already been participating in organized games in the Complex.
  11. The Mudcats take the proverbial show on the road to face the second half first place Fredericksburg Nats (23-13 - currently leading the 2nd place Mudcats, Wood Ducks, and Red Sox by 2.5 G). 18-year-old innings and efficiency phenom RHP Manuel Rodriguez takes the game 1 bump as per usual. He will look to build off a July in which 3-of-4 Starts were Quality kind. Hard to complain about this current Mudcats line-up. Lots of juice therein.
  12. All I have to say is: Yoho Statcast Data on the Regular? We all just won the Baseball Nerd lottery. Take it from Javik:
  13. A PSA from Javik Blake:
  14. The Shuckers are back on the road looking to butter some Biscuits. Game 1 features the 2024 roller-coaster ride that is LHP Nate Peterson. Let's hope he brings his best stuff and avoids the blow-up inning. Ethan Murray is back and healthy manning 2B. EBJ will reside on that comfy web gem dirt at SS. Darrien Miller is back as the backstop continuing to defy all logic in the clean-up spot. I digress. Let's hope those Shuckers keep the second half machine fine-tuned and humming.
  15. Back home at First Horizon Park, the Sounds will be taking on the Indianapolis Indians. The ongoing mega rehab stint of LHP DL Hall continues. Right off the bat, Carlos D. Rodriguez is manning the RF grass. Black stays at 3B. Collins moves to LF. Let's gain some ground on those first place Columbus Clippers - the Sounds (18-14) remain 4.0 GB.
  16. Perhaps, @CheeseheadInQCwill be reporting to us at some point this week. Regardless, Wisconsin travels to Quad Cities for game 1 of their 6 game series. Pratt is indeed back in the line-up. Love that 1-through-4. Love giving Rodriguez a chance to build off the momentum he closed the South Bend series with. RHP Patricio Aquino is back on the bump for his third consecutive start after coming out of the bullpen for his first four outings in July. Wisconsin remains 5.5 G ahead of second place Cedar Rapids and Peoria who remain the second half front runners given the T-Rats first half playoff berth. Quad Cities has plenty to play for only 1 G back of the Kernels and Chiefs. ** A Friendly Reminder: This Game 1 is the Featured MiLB.TV FREE Game of the Day **
  17. They do have some flexibility with Manfredi and Cruz to play stopgaps. And, yes, they are thin. Something will need to happen there within the week most likely.
  18. Fantastic pre-game interview with SS Cooper Pratt on his early time in Wisconsin. He is such a likable young man. He was in line to get his Ole Miss parking pass when he got drafted 😅:
  19. As alluded to by @Kellerowl, RHP K.C. Hunt has indeed been promoted to his first real test for his massive skills and immense pitching tool kit. NOW, the real work begins for the workhorse five-tool stud. Elsewhere, we have some draft placements: 1B Blake Burke has been assigned to the ACL Brewers RHP Bryce Meccage has been assigned to the ACL Brewers OF Braylon Payne has been assigned to the ACL Brewers
  20. Today is a fantastic day to be a K.C. Hunt middle-aged fan boy. It tis indeed. Let's GO!
  21. BUMP: RHP K.C. Hunt has officially been promoted to the Biloxi Shuckers. I've been telling y'all about this absolute Stallion of a starter since his first relief appearance as a Mudcat. The joy I feel for this young man's journey and his season in 2024 can not be understated.
  22. BE STILL MY HEART! My guy, RHP K.C. Hunt has been promoted to the Biloxi Shuckers. Let's GO! Looks like Saturday will be the debut: And, hey now, stop the presses: We have a Yoho Triple-A promotion and Cargo hops aboard that Nashville train looking to take some lead-off work atop that Sounds line-up. Great to see Murray back as well with a chance to salvage his season.
  23. Big series for the Shuckers at Montgomery. Sitting at 21-11, the Shuckers have a chance to build on a 3.0 G lead over Pensacola and a 3.5 G lead over these same crusty Biscuits. Heck of a second half start for the Beach Chickens. Let's keep building toward that elusive post-season berth!
