  1. I honestly think the Brewers recognize they need to accelerate these talented arms given the dearth of Starters with meaningful upside who have touched Triple-A and their ongoing dilemmas at the MLB level. They need options in the next couple of years and these promotions just make sense. #FreeYoho
  2. Sharply hit 0-2 groundout to 2B and Yophery gets his 15th RBI of his season. 1-0 Mudcats. Nice piece of hitting to get hard contact there.
  3. Lead-off Guilarte triple bagger. Man he hit that a lot harder than it seemed - 101 mph off the bat. Low off the right CF wall. The CF'er had no clue what to do with that ball. Noice!
  4. This is the second outing in a row RHP Manual Rodriguez came to the hill in control of his arsenal. It's also the second consecutive outing where I've said to myself: "This young man has several tools in his pitching arsenal." I really enjoy watching him pitch. Just very calm, in control, and really knows how to nibble around the zone. He can hurl that cutter and then also give a high rising, nice ride, four-seamer to counter its movement. As he did to get the broken bat groundout to Pratt at SS. That's a 1-2-3 first frame. 2 groundouts and a K of the Royals' highly touted Mitchell.
  5. Cutter, Cutter, breaking ball, slow curve, breaking ball groundout to deep 3B. Nice throw and scoop there to grab the first out.
  6. Biloxi and Tennessee are postponed. (Breathes a sigh of relief he avoids watching the Shuckers bats for an evening.)
  7. My yearly early Christmas, the Packers and the NFL Draft is over. Time to hit the multi-screen early week MiLB.TV experience. Oh, hey...a Victor Estevez managed T-Rats team is crushing at 15-6. How shocking.
  8. GoDaddy? GODADDY? (GoGreggy...Am I rite? Or am i rite?)
  9. Seriously funny. The Colin Casey Mudcats era was short and oh so, um, sweet. Maybe, just maybe, We'll see a Game Notes in 2024 afterall. How I long for the days of Greg Young Jr. Sigh.
  10. Well, likely the last we've seen of Tyler Black in a Sounds jersey for awhile. Pipeline is reporting the Brewers have called him up for his debut.
  11. Nothing official as of yet BUT Earlier than many of us expected but the Brewers Absolutely need his offense.
  12. Also, I really dislike the manager Joe Ayrault C Darrien Miller lead-off gadget. He did it in High-A Wisconsin too. Not a fan of that desperation whatsoever. Then we drop Carlos D. Rodriguez into clean-up? I know the line-up as a whole is struggling but none of that makes sense. It just doesn't.
  13. Not shocking. Not shocking at all. My favorite from the Pensacola series was a vintage Brewers special in game 1 with the bases juiced a nobody down and scoring zero runs. Their offense is just really not good through one month.
  14. The UDFA Albany WR Julian Hicks is a mildly interesting WR. 6'2" 210-215 with a 9.18 RAS. Definitely seems like if the hands are pure he could see a possibility to make it the Practice Squad. Had a really good year for Albany last year before they made it to the FCS semi-finals and got blown out by South Dakota State.
  15. That's a safe bet. Walter Football is really really bad.
  16. I was seeing Jennings, Wisco Long Snapper and Trent Jones as the early favorites to stick in some manner.
  17. Interestingly, in Gutey's post-draft presser he shared Enegbare may have actually avoided ACL surgery. They didn't find a full tear - they are still working through it and he didn't share in depth. Didn't want to get into it in detail. BUT, so far good news.
  18. Lafleur's post-draft presser: Stokes is a full healthy go. He is practicing full speed and looks great.
  19. Ongoing UDFA signings HERE
  20. Couldn't have said this any better myself: LOL
  21. Yeah, he had a rough season and then apparently also had a rough Senior Bowl. IF you have good 2022/2023 tape tho - and then you have a bad Senior Bowl - the Packers will def give you a chance in the 7th Rd. They've had good hits going this route.
  22. This draft seems to clearly be a commentary on the way they view their CB's, WR's, and DL depth. Obviously, they like what they have on the roster.
