What happens when you've lost 11-of-12 games? The Jumbo Shrimp would tell you: A 60 mph flare off the bat of Vinny Capra finds the shallow RF grass for a recorded single. That's how we start the 7th. Capra is now 3-for-4 on his evening. -
Woessner completes the sixth frame via two very hard hit line drive outs - to a adeptly charging Collins from deep LF into the left CF and to Roller chasing deep to far left CF before the warning track. After those two balls, I'm going to 'guess' that's Woessner's last work. Just a fantastic outing overall. Meanwhile, Aquino's stuff has sneaky movement on everything as he's settled in. Just dealing. 53 pitches as he leaves the 4th frame on two weak groundouts. 6-1 T-Rats as they head to the plate in the bottom half. Good to be back to winning baseball!

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a new career high: RHP Tyler Woessner K's the very talented 22-year-old Marlins' prospect Victor Mesa Jr. on a check swing. That's NINE K for Woessner.

Meanwhile, back in 'Da Nort', Wisconsin has the bases juiced on a line drive smack oppo off the bat of Luis Lara. O'Rae to the dish. One down. T-Rats still lead 5-1.

Meanwhile C Eric Haase just crushed an oppo two-run jack over the high RF wall. His 5th of the season. That ball was hammered. That's a 20 foot wall. No joke. No data shared. Trust me. Smacked that ball. Sounds lead 6-1 suddenly.

You just have to laugh that Woessner has cut his ERA in half in this masterful outing so far and his ERA is sitting at 12.35 through 5 IP. LOL.

BT Dub, if you ever check in and watch these Minor League games, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp absolutely have one of the best announcing duos in the entirety of Minor League ball. I love listening to these guys every single time. They are just pure baseball fans. Great listen.

Hicklen MY MAN!!! YES, MINE. LOL. Absolutely crushes a two-run jack over the Left CF wall. He crushed that pitch baby. Get that man to the Brewers dugout. No data yet available but his 7th long ball of the year. Let me share: 106 mph off the stick of wood. Still traveling, apparently. 4-1 Sounds. Gorgeous!

Wes Clarke's first Triple-A hit will be recorded as a 105 mph line drive single ripped to dead CF. A K. A walk. And a ripped liner. You love to see it. Let's go Big Fella!

He gets his 8th K (matching a career-high) on a slider down and on the outer strip to ol' friend Jonathan Davis. Gorgeous pitch. THIS is what we've been looking for in his brief Triple-A tenure. We're getting it. Gorgeous stuff. 2-1 Sounds to the 6th we go.

Woessner gets the K looking on a beautiful change-up on the outer stripe. 7 K here through 5 2/3 IP. Let's go, big fella!

Adams with his 2nd RBI on a line drive to CF. Lara and Barrios were on 2nd and 3rd. 5-1 T-Rats in the bottom of the 2nd. One down men on the corners. Woessner walked his first batter to start his fifth frame. He just got the linedrive out to Capra diving at SS (to his left). He's now 1-2 to the next batter. 2-1 Sounds.

In a 2-1 count with two down, Woessner gives up a solo jack to the Shrimps' C Banfield. out of the ballpark and over the far fence on an off-speed pitch. 101 off the bat. 382 feet. Mistake pitch? Perhaps. He was sitting on that. 2-1 Sounds.

Woessner open his bottom half of the 4th with his 6th K. I would complain about the ABS missing a strike 3 on an outside slider but what good would it do?

Roller pops up again - this time in shallow RF grass on an inside pitch (likely a ball). It will be 2-0 Sounds headed to the bottom half. Areinamo scores on a Rodriguez line drive single (Man is he hot). Fernandez then grounds out sharply to SS. 4-1 T-Rats and we are on to the 2nd frame. Yowza. Quite an answer that bottom half.

Hernandez K's looking on a 2-2 high heater. Top of the zone. Two down. Roller to the dish. Areinamo singled weakly to 2B. Stole 2nd on one of the worst slides you'll ever see - but, hey it worked! LOL. Hall walks. Men on 1st and 2nd. Still two down.

Hicklen sac fly. Double steal. Black with his 2nd SB of the inning. Clarke (notorious speedster) takes 2nd in the process. Men on 2nd and 3rd. 2-0 Sounds. One down.

HEY NOW! Adams rips an 0-2 heater to the wall in LF (likely played poorly as the LF'er took a poor angle) and Estevez aggressively sends Barrios. The throw beat him on a good relay but it was fast and on a low skip. The catcher couldn't hold it. Barrios scores. 1-1. Adams' 5th dub. Wood then crushes a 1-1 pitch over the RF wall! WOOT WOOT! 3-1 T-Rats baby. Glad to be back home after a rough Quad Cities series! Heck yes! 0-14 in QC but only K'd once. Putting the ball in play but it wasn't landing. 3 straight 2-out hits. They have now scored 37 1st inning runs in 34 games. Chew on that, Wisconsin! Yeah baby!

Clarke bravely fouls another high outside pitch. He then takes the 7-pitch walk low and in. Great AB. He walked twice. I don't care what ABS says.

THIS is what I am talking about with the inconsistencies with ABS. NO way is that a strike. No movement from the catcher's mitt here. This is exactly where he catches that ball. Clarke checks cleanly from that position. Called strike. I see this way too often. Just salty on this stuff. Not a reliable or accurate system. That ball is 3-6" outside the zone beyond the upper corner.

Black rips a very hardit liner to 2B that short-hops and caroms over the glove to the OF grass. He then takes 2B on a clean steal. Men on 2nd and 3rd now. Nobody down. Clarke in a 2-0 count.

Jadher Areinamo: amazing defensive player. My goodness. He absolutely saved Aquino from further damage with a gorgeous snagged liner on a hanging pitch (belt level and slightly in) and doubles off the runner on 2B. Just an incredible play. Whewwww.

Capra with a first pitch single to CF. Aquino sees a fairly nice off-speed pitch down and in somehow golfed to the RF wall in a looping liner that stayed fair and then snuck itself into the corner. Nice piece of hitting. He then gives up an RBI double under the diving Adams who, frankly, short-armed the dive. Not an easy play. BUT, Adams didn't have the best dive either. AND, Isaac Collins hits a gap double to deep Right CF and drives in Capra. It's 1-0 Sounds. Yeah baby!

Aquino, sporting a new look hair-do - much longer than we've seen), strikes out the first batter on three pitches. Woessner gets Mesa Jr. to 3-2 and induces a pop fly to shallow RF where Hicklen easily corrals it. On to the fourth. It's a snoozer in Jacksonville so far.
