LHP Brian Fitzpatrick selected to the Brewers 40-Man roster is One of the more amazing and awe-inspiring Brewers storylines since Chourio. His evolution as a pitcher has been nothing short of miraculous to witness. What an incredible feat!
Wilson back in the Win column with a 5-1 victory. The Undrafteds in Bonet and Perry held serve yet again. Meneses w/ a scoreless final frame as well. Montero went yard. Ebel hit his first triple in a 2-for-3 say (dare I say, he is simmering?). Nice games from Encarnacion and Lameda. Jayden with 3 free passes. Nice to see the young men earn a much needed 'W'.
These vintage highlight clips are pretty fun. Here's Montero's pull shot.
Love to see that Zuc and Trenin actually practiced with the team today. Still listed as 'Questionable' but this is a big first step and Zuc held a long meeting with the #1 PP Unit on the ice. Those have been massive losses - especially on both PP units. IF the Wild can start eliminating these silly penalties (big IF - Dallas is very adept at getting into the PP), I really do believe they take the series. Both Goalies are playing lights out - an obvious 'X' Factor for both squads - but the Wild's 5-on-5 is head and shoulders better than this current Stars team (with their injuries). You add a healthy Trenin and Zuc to those already dominating 5 v 5's? Just massive. Swapping Zuc for Brink is just huge. Brink is not ready for the Playoff environment - nowhere near the talent our Norwegian Fjord Zuccy is. Not even the same League of impact.
1 1/3 IP. 4 more free passes for Birchard. No K's. No runs scored either. He is like our pitching Mitchell! Scratch that first K to complete his second frame of scoreless work. The man is such a beautiful conundrum.
C Ramón Rodríguez is doing above and beyond what you could hope for from a veteran back-up Catcher. He continues to be one of the most unheralded plus players in the system. Hit his first dinger today in a 2-for-3 line so far. Hitting 0.356 with a 0.930 OPS in 50 PA's (11 K:5 BB) just speaks to the quality of player I witnessed pre-injury for a season plus.

This is the first time I sat out an NFL Draft in over 25 years. I went to an Air BnB with my wife to invest in our relationship. I say this to say:
Being separated - both physically and mentally - from the Draft itself makes me appreciate @LouisEly even more. I just love your level-headed approach. Thanks for all you do around this time of year.
That's funny. I didn't like Payne's swing last season but I love it this season - it's consistent and repeating with what might actually be an ascending and unknown floor and ceiling. Last year he lost his swing post-injury and then on multiple occasions the tweaks and timing got all out of sorts - it gave me EBJ concerns. BUT, the youth was on his side and the make up and quality of person is just as solid as it comes. I think we are just scratching the surface. I encourage you to get more excited.😅
What an absolute stud outing from RHP Michael Fowler. Flores walks the bases full. Bottom of 9. No outs. Sacks frothing. T-Rats clinging to a 9-7 lead.
Fowler mows them down. K. K. K.
🥰
That high heat is dirtayyy

(Honestly, I still don't know if I understand. I am feeling as old as my 80-yo dad more and more as each day passes)
This mock rules, btw. On brand. Would be a great haul.
Frankly, we need a 'Fernando Carmona' for the name alone. He would look marvelous (if you know, you know)...
None of the above? It's still April. I know they'd all like to be finding more success but we aren't even a month old yet. I think Pratt starting off extremely slow is extremely on par with expectations. He's very young for the League and his hit tool just hasn't caught up to his defense and overall make-up. It is likely going to take time. Wilken is very streaky as is. Jett is just getting started in a new org and is likely pressing. Lotta season left regardless.
Birchard's ongoing walk issues are certainly notable and continually concerning. Walks don't work in a bullpen role either.
Braylon Payne hit a 109 mph nuke. We should all take a moment to appreciate the shot and the Tin Caps glowing broadcast:
Eric Bitonti also ripped his second tater. Yay! I continue to absolutely love his swing:
