  1. Excited for Sibrian to get the opportunity to show his skills. A very underrated but skilled catcher behind the dish.
  2. Perez is back manning the OF grass as I suspected. Here's hoping he reclaims that form that had him ranked so highly in prospect circles in previous years forcing a promotion to Wisconsin.
  3. @CheeseheadInQCand @clancyphile: Note, we have an official Two-Way designation for Quinton Low.
  4. Pretty dang cool.
  5. Ahhhhhhh, yes. Our first Minor League report of 2023. Tis like a fresh cup of coffee on the front porch. Here's to an awesome and healthy 2023! Also, completely agreed on Peguero. He was pretty filthy last night. If he can maintain that composure and controlled approach, that's definitely an MLB arm to add to the mix. He was comfortably sitting 94-96. And, he had a lot of downward sink that was getting lots of lunging whiffing bats. I was quite impressed.
  6. Goodness Cousins can not catch a break over the past year plus of ball. Let's just get him healthy so he can build back to the pitcher we know he can be. I feel for the young man.
  7. I imagine that roster is so large, at present, because there are no other games in the system for a week. That's my piping hot take.
  8. Yeah their goaltending has really come around as the season has progressed. Gustavson has been really good for awhile now which is a huge bonus. Their ongoing performance with Kaprizov sidelined has been a truly pleasant surprise. I almost am getting my hopes up but, being a Brewers fan and Packers fan, I am conditioned to expect the worst. In years past, the Wild certainly haven't let me down unfortunately!
  9. Ooooops. Wrong thread. Let's go hockey: I'm ready for my long-time NHL follow in the Minnesota Wild to bow out early in the playoffs. Sigh.
  10. Fair play, Sir! Fair play.
  11. This should shed a bright light on the true commitment and sacrifices these young men make to chase their dreams. I have the utmost and deepest of respect for their efforts. I will always cheer for the dream chasers. AND this is precisely why I will always advocate for those fringe and rotating roster spots at the MLB level to be used as try outs for the lower level guys. Keep giving them opportunities, please. They deserve it and they deserve more than one shot. This is a monumental feat for the players union and It still is not enough given the economics of 2023. That is all I will say on the matter.
  12. Very exciting news for Javik and very exciting news for Garrett Greene heading to the Astros Triple-A affiliate at Sugar Land. Best of luck to both talented callers in 2023!
  13. Yes Sir! So happy for David and his family. Hopefully, he takes this opportunity and runs with it. Much deserved!
  14. Don't worry @adambr2today is a day where reverse roles appear en vogue: 🤷‍♂️
  15. I'm surprised I didn't know he was DFA'd earlier that week 😅. I retract my stupidity but leave it posted for humility. Thanks for the response!
  16. It surprises me you think he was DFA'd as Hiura was Outrighted. I know it's getting into minutia here but there is a difference.
  17. Nice interview here from Jeff. Twelve some minutes worth your time.
  18. Boy these releases are coming in all too frequently this week. It's never easy to report these and, as always, we wish each and every player the very best moving forward. Thankfully, our colleague and friend @damuelle will give each and every player mentioned the farewell words they deserve.
  19. I am inappropriately excited for this opening series. I will not temper my enthusiasm. I will not go quietly in the night.
  20. I actually have a weird sense of confidence this is the year Deguara shines. I personally feel he is a better player than given credit for and has improved significantly in the run game. I think Love helps him get involved quite a but more in the passing game.
  21. Great ?. Unfortunately, no. Lusk re-signed with the now Lexington Counter Clocks (South Division of the Atlantic League - they were the Lexington Legends as recently as the 2022 season) mid March. Hopefully he can get into affiliated ball some time this year, however. I believe he'll be managed by former MLB catcher Barry Lions in 2023 as well as pitching coach Cameron Roth (who managed Lake Erie of the Frontier League awhile back).
  22. As a perennial watcher of Sounds games, I am excited to see Keston swing the lumber at Triple-A. He can absolutely get hot and rake in the International League - I recall some key hits just last season down in Jacksonville that tilted the series very much in the Sounds favor. I've seen him hit some mammoth dingers down yonder. I will be entertained (I hope😄).
  23. Keeping current post-Luke Voit signing: The Brewers have outrighted INF/LF(?) Keston Hiura to the Nashville Sounds
  24. "Actually, Joe, have all our 3rds. We'll give you all our 3rds through 2029. Will this get us pick 13? "
