    Ben Fennell back interviewing with Andy Herman on 'Pack a Day' I always love what Ben Fennell has to say. He doesn't and won't put together draft guides, but he has access to the NFL Film database and can get any down and distance or contextualized play scenario at his fingertips unlike nearly all other analysts. A very good interview here - I highly recommend giving it a listen if you have the time.

I have to go the way of my good cohorts @CheeseheadInQC, @sveumrules, and @Ron Robinsons Beard: I fairly quickly and easily disagree with your premise and conclusions. I would also point out, and I believe it is worth mentioning: when you win a Cy Young with a young Ace having the best season of his career and your entire starting staff has outlier seasons of excellence the catcher definitely plays a part and deserves some accolades in that ring of successes and celebrations. From a Brewers fan perspective, 2021 was a year to celebrate after Narvaez's ho-hum 2020. But, really, on a personal level: I simply do not place judgments of any kind on the COVID year that was 2020. The world was unhinged, a true mess, and athletic routines were up-ended just as all our lives experienced the same. When I look at the Brewers roster, and when I watch Brewers games, Omar Narvaez and his overall play is very very far down the list of things I complain about. The true sunk cost, as it currently plays out, on this Brewers roster pretty clearly resides in the left field grass batting third in the lineup. ?

    Muh Man! Could literally not agree more. This young man is electric and is the real jaw-dropping prospect to man that important SS position. He has that 'It' that you just do not see that often. His defense is, honestly, incredible with an accurate cannon of an arm to boot.

    Serious question: How have I never heard of Michael Menet on the Packers? Was this an in-season PS addition? I used to be 'Mr. Practice Squad' obscure roster reference. Now, I'm just old and lazy. Your depth of knowledge reminds me of my younger days. I love to see it!

    One thing remains true: Ethan Small has an incredible change-up. That pitch is filthy. He just continues to ascend off an incredibly successful stint over the winter. It's hard not to be excited about what he is doing and what he might become when he gets his chance.

    If I'm not mistaken, and I certainly could be as my memory gets foggier every season, Devin has oft struggled in the early going. I am unsure if he has struggled like this, but, as you point out: this is an extremely small 'sample' size. I would gather, Counsell isn't concerned...yet.

    Agreed on the qb's. It seems Willis and Pickett are locks and then there's a whole lot of mystery. The general consensus I've seen is maybe Willis would have fit into the tail end of last year's Top 5 qb's overall. Not really a good year to need a QB. I think what's even more interesting is Ridder's late ascent. A lot of teams apparently have him graded out as a Rd. 1 prospect this year. I sure hope he sneaks in there before 28.

    Ben Fennel and Brian Baldinger, respectively, have me feeling pretty rosy on Alec Pierce as a serious candidate for a Packer draft pick. It seems he's been routinely discussed as an early to mid Day 2 pick in the draft process from my limited exposure. Anyone else have any thoughts here?

    That season definitely further entrenched me in the Brewer dugout of fandom. I have extremely fond memories listening to radio calls of Deer monster shots while heading to my grandma's house in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin during that season. Ahhhhh, nothing like baseball nostalgia on an Easter Sunday morning.

You have to think White was sent on that fly ball thinking: "Hey, we might not get another chance to even attempt a plate crossing given the way this night has gone." A truly unfortunate evening. Let's see if Wisconsin and Biloxi can keep it churning.
