  1. We have RHP TJ Shook taking the hill for Biloxi and RHP Brady Schanuel continuing his late season spot starting work for Wisconsin. We are still 'TBD' in Carolina and Nashville as both ball clubs head back to the road to face Myrtle Beach and Charlotte, respectively.
  2. I'm going to chime in here, quickly. The statement '...he has struggled in his short time there.' certainly doesn't match the eye test. In my eyes, he has risen to the occasion and built an extremely solid High-A base. He had a minor injury or rest concern after a slow start, but, the sample size was simply too small there. In a now combined 66 AB's, given his return from the shelf and including August, he's flashed 0.288 BA, 0.779 OPS, 2 HR, 1 3B, 4 2B, 6 R, 9 RBI, 13 K, 2 BB. The sample size is still much too small but what you see is what you see on a game-in, game-out basis: the sky is the limit for this ascending massive talent.

  4. Awwwww yeah. It. Is. Time.

  6. Thanks for the write-up, Daniel. Yesterday was a good day for the Brewers Minor League affiliates. Good performances were had across multiple levels. And, man, Nashville appears to be the real playoff push in the organization given what they're trotting out at the MLB level at present ?.

  8. 100%. I mean Quero is still an extremely young prospect. BUT, his development and his standing in the organization indicates he has very very real potential to arrive at the MLB level with Chourio - assuming both stick and progress which would certainly seem to be the case. Quero is an elite prospect.
  9. Well, in this case, the runner would have simply been out at first base with a single run scored. Instead, the runner advanced to 2B after the error and it was factored in the runner would have stopped at 3B. If that makes sense??
  10. Thank you. I commiserate with you here. I have high hopes for his continued projection and trajectory as a player - there are just so many things to like about what he's shown this season. His best output 'should' be ahead of him. The leap he took this year is incredible organizational insurance if nothing else, but, really you can start to see a future where he is the everyday 3B at the MLB level and a rotational SS/3B player if his bat continues evolving. Too good a defender. Improving offensive game. Developing power to all fields. This is a legit prospect.
  11. He’s a Jack of all trades C, 1B, DH kind of guy. Not an elite catcher by any means but decent. Plug in his hit and OBP tool and you have a unique player. Love watching Clarke play.
  12. I mean this earnestly: I love the catching depth across the system beyond the players you mention. Triple-A on down. Give me Quero (the future of Brewers catching as far as I'm concerned - an immense talent) and toss in the workmanlike efforts of Darrien Miller and Wes Clarke - far more than just catchers. Heck, give me Brent Diaz (who I find consistently undervalued) and Navaretto (who I love as a player and a person). I quite like Jose Sibrian in Carolina as a young wild card (up for FA end of this season). This doesn't even get into the rookie ball prospects who put up numbers and caught eyes.
  13. I think you just said it, fine Sir.
  14. They will ultimately be an incredible MLB city. Such a consistent and engaged fanbase. It's truly a baseball town. Their ballpark is routinely half-filled to full on mid week to late week games. Kudos to the Sounds for giving a truly professional experience. There are few things in Minor League baseball cuter than the the early innings kiddos in the press box announcing the Sounds batters as they head to the plate.
  15. He's a lead-off specialist. No brainer. Every AB he puts work in.
  16. I believe that is scored a fielder's choice so he gets the 1 RBI as the result of the scored deference. The 2nd run crossed is because of the error that put Mario on base and scored the next runner. There was only 1 out at the time.
  17. It was a high chopper. Tough play. Makable play. But, the ball simply sailed on him.
  18. Columbus goes 3-3 versus the Iowa Cubbies at Home and will most likely lose 2 games in the standings. Three consecutive series for the Sounds (two on the road) versus winning teams, and they are about to push the overall record to 13-5. I mean, this is an elite Triple-A squad y'all. We are incredibly fortunate to be watching this team this year. They lead 11-3 in the latter innings today (after trailing 3-2 in the 5th), and are about to push their division lead back to 4.5 games while pushing their overall record to 30 games over 0.500.
  19. Ummmm, as Big Jon's number one fan on this board ?: Elite power. Elite defense. Elite walks. Seriously though, he's incredibly underrated for his glove. Fantastic defender. Let's at least give him credit in all these departments. His main problem is he absolutely struggles in lefty splits. Hitting like 0.138 versus lefties.
  20. Here's Severino's first-pitch absolute moonshot:
  21. Feliciano is up to the dish with the bases juiced again. 9-3 Sounds as Singleton just walked a run in. Feliciano has 6 RBI's and has a chance to make the Sounds records book if he knocks three across.
  22. Wiemer now has 8 walks in this Redbirds series. Including the game-winning rbi off a walk just a game ago. This is a big development in his approach of late. He's forcing pitchers to earn it. Night and Day from early this season. He's evolving. Work to be done, yes, but big progress being made.
  23. In absolute fairness to Liberatore, he was probably robbed of two missed strike three calls on Singleton in back-to-back pitches. BUT, hey, good for Feliciano. He had fouled off 2-3 tough heaters. He crushed that ball.
  24. Weston Wilson just biffed a routine bouncer at third base to load the bases for Jake Cousins. That ball was biffed. An E5 for Wilson. Bases juiced now. That could be a costly error.
  25. HOW ABOUT BACK-TO-BACKS?!? Pedro Severino crushes a moon shot high and deep over the wall in left center field. First pitch from reliever Grant Black. WOW. Yes Sir! 8-3 Sounds. Whewwww.
