  2. Thanks for showcasing this list, Jim. It's nice to see everyone all at once. I sincerely wonder if they don't prioritize signing Andruw Monasterio as 'left side of the infield insurance' given what he is showcasing in Biloxi - he's been incredible since Day 1 down yonder. I think with Erceg's ongoing improvements and ability to bounce back effectively from rough outings - with a known emphasis on growth versus results this year - I would have to think there's a priority there. He has legitimate 7th-9th inning stuff in that arsenal. I would love to see Big Jon Singleton back given how solid he as defensively in addition to his on base prowess and power pop. He loves the food in Nashville and the atmosphere but one might gather he'd look to try an latch on West Coast way given his gym is out West. Regardless, I've enjoyed watching all of these players in 2022 and there are many worthy Minor League prospects here. It will be very interesting to see what the players and the organization plan on doing. It was an incredibly productive and impactful ML FA signing period in late 2021. We'll have to keep our eyes and ears open for any developments.
  3. Marcus Walden has sneakily been really effective since a rough initial outing in Nashville. Given Josh Lindbolm's cagey start his last outing, it's clear Nashville has two high-quality AAAA arms who are helping the team stay in that first place picture in a tightening race for a first place finish.
  4. He practiced RT reps yesterday and when asked post-practice what he was told by the coaching staff? “Pick a position and work on it.” ?
  5. A heck of a double play by Garcia and Acosta ended a very dangerous bases loaded situation in the seventh inning. Floyd really hung this breaking ball and got quite lucky here:
  6. Big win for the Rattlers today - that moves them 3 back of South Bend for the second half Division lead.
  7. I can't say this is what I experience, no.
  8. A bit more detail: He later said he won’t rule out any of them getting playing time in the preseason, but he “wouldn’t hold my breath on that, either.” When asked if Jenkins can play Week 1, LaFleur said everything is on the table but “again, I’m not going to hold my breath on that.” He also noted that the team hasn’t made a decision on which position Jenkins will return to.   9. In other sneaky roster moves today;
  10. Wow. This is huge news. All three players can be game-changers. That certainly doesn't happen too often. I sure we get that some day with a certain LT.
  11. Boy, this is not the finish to his 2022 RHP Israel Puello was planning on having given how he began his High-A career. They may need to consider throwing him into a bullpen role or he may end up back in Zebulon.
  12. And, then to lose it in the 10th. Wooooof. LOL. I'm telling you: Gwinnett and Nashville only play blow-outs and one-run games. It's insane. I think that's now 22 one-run decisions the past two season. Like, wutttt?? Also, I think Ruiz scores there even if he doesn't bobble. When he gets going on the basepaths...it's a sight. There is so much speed amongst Frelick, Mitchell, Ruiz, and Wiemer it's pretty ridiculous.
  13. No kidding. Holy cow Lucas! Incredible. Love to see it. Man, I continue to dream of his ascendance as a legit 7th-9th inning arm. He's so easy to root for and he has legitimate top-notch stuff if he can put it together. I sure hope it's with the Brewers.
  14. This has been a very good year for the Brewers system as a whole. Just so much to be excited about. @CheeseheadInQChas made some very salient points the entire season about the International signings and the two-team wealth in the DSL and ACL. This shouldn't be underestimated as it deepens the pool, gives players more playing opportunities and more exposure, while giving positions that may take more time (ie catcher) time to develop with playing time to boot. The most impressive thing for my persistent watching eyes is the ability to withstand multiple promotions (from literally the ACL on up to the Big Club), coupled with trades and important vets departing via trade or release (ie Dahl and Almonte) and really not skip a beat. Then we see talented men like Ray (whom you mention above), Monasterio, and Whitley taking re-assignments and running with it and helping their teams and displaying the skills that made them high draft picks to begin with. There's a synergy going on we're witnessing across all levels. It's been a real pleasure to witness as a fan.
  15. This is just it. He's been trending up for literally months. He's cut back significantly on walks the past two with increasing strikeout totals. He's a rising young gun. Earlier this year, you could see the movement and the mound presence but he was just missing and innings got away from him. We've seen steady improvement and now we're seeing dominance. This is a very exciting season for a young arm.
  16. Yes, Sir! He's a true joy to watch. In a post-game pod earlier this past week manager Joe Ayrault spoke to what those of us who had been following him in Carolina have been saying: total stud. He said this is the best catching prospect he's seen come through the system in quite some time. I have to agree. His ability to call a game, catch a game, throw runners out at every base, and a bonus of a rising bat is sublime. He's a total stud. I echo Bryce: welcome aboard!
  17. Yeah, this has absolutely nothing to do with Delmarva. Nothing. It's just more success. Cornielle has been trending way up for some time. This just solidifies what we've been talking about for near two months.
  18. I mean, it’s officially time for us to get excited. This is stacked successes. I’ve been reserved and optimistic. I am now aboard. 2 H, 0 BB.
  19. Six stolen bases off Tayden Hall (and pitchers, obviously) tonight. Kaylen Nicasia continues to impress.
  20. I’m out n about with the kiddo today at a wild n wooly Discovery Center. Hopefully we get some favorable results!
  21. And, lastly, apparently C Josh Myers had a fantastic game (pumps fist) and Ben points to areas for Doubs to improve - run blocking:
  22. On the Amari INT: With the esteemed Ben Fennell commenting to Pete Bukowski (who I find extremely hard to listen to ?)
  23. This is also quite awesome from Dan Orlovsky:
