  1. Unbelievable. Figueroa's season in a nutshell. Works back to a 3-2 count. Gets the weak pop out to Areinamo. Two down. Walks the next batter on four pitches. That's four walks this inning. Tie game. Sigh. T-Rats relief corps going to T-Rats relief corps.
  2. Middendorf already walked in a run. Figueroa is down 3-1 in his count. What was that about "2025 in a nutshell for these two." ?
  3. I see I walk into Figeuroa with the bases juiced, bottom of 9, one out and the T-Rats clinging to a 3-2 lead. I see I walk into Middendorf with the bases juiced, one out, Shuckers clinging to a 4-1 lead. 2025 in a nutshell for those two.
  4. "We're here tonight to see the debut opener for the Panama City T-Rays..." Just got back from dinner. Thanks for keeping the boat afloat @biedergb. Looking forward to looking over the game logs and checking in on some replay innings.
  5. I very happily imagine a world where Adamczewski was healthy the entire first half, helped secure the Muddies first half playoff berth, and is already mashing at High-A Wisconsin. This is a beautiful world.
  6. RHP Ethan Dorchies. 4.0 IP, 1 BB, 3 K, 0 H, 0 R. Heck of a Start. He reverses course as RHP Jayden Dubanewicz piggy backs. After a line out, Jose Anderson misplays a fly ball in RF. The batter advances to 2B. And the 'No No' immediately ends with a single. Runners on the corners. One down. Muddies cling to a 1-0 lead. Eeeek.
  7. I have the In-Laws in town this week. Time to go to a birthday dinner before I return home to review the evening's festivities. Eight game late night madness on my 'To Do' list. Yay? Hopefully the affiliates show out and give me some eye candy.
  8. 1B Sharlisson De La Rosa once again hit a late run-scoring double for the second consecutive game vs the DSL Padres Gold. This was an insurance-adding two-runs after Done's go ahead solo jack in the sixth. Antunez and Polanco had each walked and De La Rossa knocked them home though he was thrown out trying to advance to 3B during/after the throw home. DSL Brewer Blue split their double-header vs the Padres Gold winning Game 2 8-5 in a scheduled 7-Inning affair. They move back to five games over 0.500 at 20-15 overall. RHP Jhosep Ospino (who else, really) pitched the scoreless 7th for the Save - 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K. Ospino picked up his 2nd Save of his season. He now has 25 K over 18 2/3 IP and a zesty 0.86 WHIP. Extremely impressive season for the second year Brewers DSL'er.
  9. Done just poked the go-ahead HR in the bottom of the 6th of a 7-inning affair. This was Done's third long ball of his summer. DSL Brewers Blue lead Game 2 6-5. They are still batting in the same sixth frame.
  10. Brewers 'DSL Player of the Day' award definitely goes to 1B Matthew Moses through 3 AB (likely will bat at least one more time - currently in the top of the 7th of a 9-inning tilt). 3-for-3, 2 R, 4 RBI, 1 BB, 1 2B, 1 HR. Brewers Gold lead 7-4 headed to the Reds half of the 7th.
  11. After pitching a clean 9th to get to extras, Lenin Mendez gave up a base-advancing sac fly in the 10th. A run-scoring double. Then struck out a batter for his second out. The Blue trailed 7-6 at that point. He would not finish the inning. WP, BB, BB, PB, BB, BB, HB. 10-6 deficit. Mendez is subbed out. The Blue lose 10-7. A Sharlisson De La Rosa double scored Polanco (Manfred's Man) but that was all She wrote. Valiant effort. In the end, the Blue were 'DSL'd' in Extras.
  12. The Brew Crew Blue just put up a game-tying five spot in the bottom of the 7th. 6-6 and they are up to the plate again in the bottom of the 8th. Four of the runs came with two outs.
  13. Whoa. 40 Games with Nashville in 2023 - primarily in RF - 34-year-old journeyman Tyler Naquin has switched to the pitching mound in 2025! What's more? He's pitching for Lake County in the Midwest League. Amazing.
  14. I don't know why it took me until now - actually I do as Walla Walla locals called Cadiz 'Dom' it just didn't click - but Cadiz was absolutely tearing it up with the Walla Walla sweets before the Brewers took him in this year's draft. He represented them in the All Star game. He absolutely looks the part of a pro baseball player. Personally, in the rare chance they sign him (fingers crossed!), I think they start him out at 3B though, it is the Brewers, they'll likely give him opportunities at SS too. This young man showcased he can absolutely mash in the post-HS circuit. He was a monster in the West Coast League. 15. The DSL Brewers Blue managed to pull out the 5-4 'W' in a scheduled 7-inning game vs the DSL Dodgers Bautista. Outhit 7-to-4 - with two of Bautista knocks coming in the seventh and final frame via a two-out single followed by a two-out two-run Johnson - the Brewers managed to take just enough advantage of 8 BB, 2 WP, 2 HB, and 1 Error in their 4-for-15 with RISP. The Dodgers managed a 3-for-10 mark with RISP leaving 7 men on base. The DSL Brewers Blue improved to 19-14. They are 3.5 GB Northwest division leading DSL Tampa Bay. They are currently just outside that final 8-team Wild Card playoff group (best records after division winners) by 1/2 G behind the tied for 8th WC seeded DSL Arizona Red and DSL Mets Orange who are both sitting at 20-14 overall.
  16. Every player in the DSL Cerveceros Gold line up has a knock today except All Star DH Jonathan Rangel who just happens to have 3 BB. Every batter has an RBI but Rangel and Acosta. They lead the DSL Cubs Azules 14-3 in the 6th inning.
  17. If memory serves correct this our last stretch of ACL Brewers games of 2025?
  18. Honestly, it's the same reason why I thought Roupe was a long shot. But, here we are. I have to imagine, in that specific circumstance, the coaching carousel and instability of the program in his committment transition likely played in the Brewers favor?
  19. As I anticipated originally. He's betting on himself and why would he not? Too much raw athleticism and massive massive upside. He knows what he's working with. I expect big things. Bummer though. Man, I wanted him in the Brewers system to pair with Dinges. 😅
  20. RHP Griffin Tobias with a fantastic relief outing: 2.0 IP, 1 H, (you guessed it) 0 BB, 3 K, 0 R. LOVE love love seeing RHP Bryce Meccage trending in this new direction. 18 K: 3 BB in 15 1/3 IP is exactly what the doctor ordered for the month of Juuuuuly. Mudcats improve to 15-7 overall. Much like the first half, however, they aren't really making any headway in the standings regardless. They lead 2nd place Fredericksburg by a mere 1.0 G. Miles to go.
  21. Rough month of July for RHP Will Childers. He's given up 1-to-2 runs in every relief outing - all four of his Nashville outings and his sole Biloxi outing. He is mired in a relief slump. On the other hand, clean 1.0 IP of 1 H 0's for RHP Justin Yeager in his first action as a Sound.
  22. Also, I can simply come out and say it: I did not anticipate this level of start and success for Pedro Ibarguen. But, man alive, if he doesn't just have the physical look of a player who is ready for this level of competition:
