  1. The retrospective of the 1989 Brewers continues as we take a look at the relievers that season, led by Mark Knudson and Chuck Crim (71 appearances, 117 innings pitched in relief... ah, old baseball). Then we flip into a perfectly-late-80s defensive montage with what I'm pretty sure is the music from a boss level of Super Mario World for Super Nintendo. The final segment is the 20th anniversary Brewers team, which highlighted many of the greats from those early 80s Crew teams. View full video
  2. It's awesome to see all these things collated in the same place. I've read and looked into a lot of this stuff but mostly piecemeal.

  4. Teddy was my first favorite baseball player all those years ago before I moved to Minnesota.

  6. It’s always risky to make these kinds of lateral moves but it was a good bet to sacrifice prospects for money and contract length before you even get to the superior performance level of Renfroe this season.

  8. Wow. Thank you so much for sharing this deeply personal take on Father’s Day. My own father is still around and in my life but I can hardly call him a role model. So while I don’t understand this, I totally get it.

  10. A genuinely nice nod by the Brewers to let him get to vesting ten years of service time. It’s the kind of thinking we don’t see often enough in today’s game.

  14. Just brutal baseball. That last game was atrocious. Burnes dominated in the first and, despite having little to no control, mostly held it together. But the moment he left, everything unraveled.

  16. I really thought the Brewers were poised to take two of three and get back on track in this series. Instead, we all witnessed... whatever that was.

  18. Yeah, he's not someone I'd be over the moon to acquire - especially because he's a lefty - but it might be a decent-but-cheap option.

  20. When a run environment is diminished, stolen bases both become more valuable and the necessary success rate lowers. As a whole, the league should be attempting more steals, particularly because so many modern pitchers are flat-out terrible at holding runners.

  22. An out of the box idea is Joey Gallo. He's buried in that Yankees lineup and struggling, probably as a result. Would the Yankees be interested in dealing him? I have no idea but it's a call that should probably be made.
