  1. And that's fair. I also DO NOT like Machado but I like Tatis a bunch so maybe it evens out for me.
  2. I’m also just a baseball fan. I always have side favorites, like the Jays right now. And I’ll watch almost anything. If the Pirates and Marlins are the only day game, I’ll tune in even though who even cares what happens.
  3. No. Definitely this: Twins Brewers Padres Angels and because of my extended time in LA, if left no other options, Dodgers But I rarely “cheer on” the Dodgers. More like if they’re in the WS against a team I feel nothing toward, I won’t be sad to see them win. I never really connected with the Dodgers, I watched far more Anaheim games due to proximity to the stadium.
  4. I’ve lived a ton of places, picked up fondness for several teams along the way. I also have a soft spot for the Angels, lived in Long Beach for almost a decade.
  5. I lived in SD for eight years so I'm pretty fond of the Pads, can't wait to see Tatis back and I hope they make a run.
  6. It’s only one game but losing that game felt like it would have been disastrous.
  7. Yeesh. Have to throw strikes here, for crying out loud.
  8. I liked the old Hunter Greene better than this version.
  9. Most teams suffer some kind of multi-week ugliness over the course of 162. This stretch has been painful to watch but I’m not going to become super concerned until the team drops to .500 or worse. Last night’s game wasn’t even that bad, they lost a one run game to a very good Mets team. Overall, the Mets series was better than what we saw over the previous couple of weeks.
  10. Eh, the Angels are more of an Orange County team. The beach thing makes sense.
  11. The grill is easily the best part.
  12. Hard pass on CubFanatic.com. There aren’t enough moderators in the world to make that readable.

  14. And that is why Chi-Chi was rostered, as irritating as that feels in a pennant race.
  15. I don’t view it that way at all. Manfred is not part of the competitive committee, he’s not going to say something is going to happen without giving the committee process its due. I think the pitch clock is all but a given for 2023, I only hope they won’t water it down and instead stick with the aggressive version they’ve deployed in the minors. A significant MLBPA concession in the last CBA was that the players will not have as much say in rule implementation.
  16. Thanks. I was putting my kids to bed and missed that entire inning.
