  1. I couldn't be happier that Yelich made that out because it was a lot like his not-outs over the past few days.
  2. Oh, I'm aware, but it was half hit attempt, half sacrifice. There was little reason to go for one base in that situation via a bunt other than you're willing to take the out in trade for moving the runners. And doing that in the third inning is just a bad idea.
  3. Dude, Yelich, you gotta start putting three more feet on those balls if you're going to hit them to dead center.
  4. Also, I had to go pick up food and when I came back to turn on the TV, one of the first lines I heard was "and Pujols was caught stealing third."
  5. Hahaha, sure was nice of the Cardinals to give the Brewers a free out with that bunt. I love that kind of baseball "strategy" in 2022.
  6. Dear every pitcher in MLB: Use PitchCom. Signed, everybody else

  8. It's a different login system. Using screen names for login is a bad practice, as screen names are visible to everyone. Using an email login obfuscates how you're logging in a bit. It's a small security measure. If you'd like me to change your screen name, just PM me what you'd like and I'll do it right away.
  9. Let's see you elevate and pull that ball out of the stadium, you exit-velo-launch-angle-bobo. ?
  10. Well, there is a roof. I meant the weather on the field, not outside. ?
  11. Remember, Urias had very little time to ramp up in spring. He's probably going to need an extended rehab assignment, longer than a typical hitter would mid-season. It wouldn't surprise me if he needed 10+ days in the minors before heading to Milwaukee.
  12. Yeah, I think the weather has been a factor, which only helps Yelich's case starting today with the return home. I don't believe Yelich will return to MVP form but if he can return his OPS north of .800, that changes the entire landscape of the Brewers lineup and makes them far more formidable in 2022.
  13. Yelich has shown a couple of glimpses of not being the 2021 version of himself but there has also been more than a fair share of hard grounders to the right side of the infield, too. Overall, his stats are improved but far from his MVP seasons. Some upsides: his exit velo is up, back well into the territory he can once again be a good hitter. And even more importantly, his barrel rate is way up. Are we seeing a version of Yelich that is somewhere between his MVP seasons and his disappointing 2020/21 campaigns or is this a blip on the radar and he's destined to return to where he ended up last season? 14. I'm not really a fan of running up an already-unbeatable differential in a game but completely agree that unwritten rules are just boring and awful. While I groan when I see someone do what Kapler did, I also don't get worked up about it. When a game gets to that point, I mostly want it to be over both because it's a bad game and because injuries are less likely to happen if, you know, nobody is actually on the field and/or trying very hard... But again, who cares that much anyway? Get over yourself, baseball history and "tradition".
  15. Yeah, now we just need to get Julio to cut his word count in half so he doesn't burn out in the middle of May... ?

  17. With the ugliness of that Cubs series behind the Brewers and vastly improved weather, it's time to stomp a division opponent, probably the only opponent the Brewers need to worry about this season.
  18. I've shortened the topic pages and contacted the ad provider but don't expect much movement on this for several hours, as they're on the west coast and probably won't even read my email for another three hours, much less execute the changes I've requested.
  19. No offense taken, I appreciate constructive feedback. I'll contact the ad provider immediately about this and shorten topic length (I bumped it up a few days ago). I'll see if I can't mitigate this issue today or tomorrow. I finally noticed this issue last night and yes, it's quite aggravating.
  20. It doesn't feel like it's going to take many runs to get this done tonight but a couple more sure wouldn't hurt.
  21. Burnes good, Orioles bad, predictable outcome on that one.
  22. I'm not sure 100% financial equality is actually the best thing for baseball but I'm certainly not against it. Damned near anything is better than what we have right now.
