  1. Other than BF, that is. If any of you are into sci-fi, I highly recommend Joel Shepard’s Spiral Wars series. The eighth book, Ceephay Queen, just released yesterday and I’m starting it as soon as I put the kids to bed. What are the rest of you reading?
  2. Ah, I missed some dialogue settings there when I imported the rules. It should be fixed now, let me know if there is any more mention of the Twins.
  3. Okay, yeah, somehow all message quotas for the main usergroup were set to zero. Fixed.
  4. Um... no? Maybe that means I missed some permissions, give me a little bit to look into it.
  5. Some time this summer, Bally Sports is going to release a standalone app for about $20/mo. Until that happens, DirecTV Stream is the only streaming option that carries Bally Sports.
  6. Sure, no problem, take your time. I was just curious.
  7. I have questions about this forum, as it seems a legacy institution from the old software. In the current software, you can just create a thread or post, then hide it immediately. There is no reason to have a forum to stage public-facing threads, just create them in the proper forum and then unhide them as needed. If I'm missing something, please let me know. I'm interested in understanding the operation of this forum, not necessarily changing it.
  8. This site launch has been an incredible amount of work and I only hope you're all enjoying the process as much as I am. This community is awesome and I love it!

The Launch has been really really well done. Kudos to you and your team. Truly as flawless and smooth - from a user interface side - as I could imagine. Many thanks to all the hard work. Hopefully, the best is yet to come for your/our team and the awesome folks who post here. ?

  9. No dark mode but it's on the list of features I will work on in the future. Also, what was your old username? I can merge this account into that, or that one into this. Which account would you prefer to keep?
  10. This software used to have a chat function that was quite nice but they retired it for unknown reasons. It's possible I could look for an alternate solution, though it's not something I'm likely to get to anytime soon.
  11. Yeah, absolutely, that's an easy thing to do. We will also run banners across the top of the site pretty regularly during game time, highlighting the game thread. I'm not sure if you've seen one of those banners on the site yet, I've only used it once or twice.
  12. Hi, so I was informed by someone that with the old software, the game threads were a "global" post, in that they appeared everywhere on the forum. Unfortunately, this software does not offer that feature. As a result, having a dedicated game thread forum is a bit awkward. So do we want to keep the game thread forum as-is or should we begin using the Brewers forum for game threads? Over at Twins Daily, we have a game thread archive and the next morning, I move the old game thread from the Twins forum into the archive forum. It's a five second process so no big deal. Thoughts? I'm fine with either, I just wanted to present an alternative given this particular limitation of the new software.
  13. Right now it’s one player. I suspect MLB wants to pave the way to allow more players to try their hand at being the next Ohtani. Persoanlly, I think it’s a pretty good rule because two way players are fun and should he encouraged.
  14. He very well could end up average-ish. I think he'll be a bit better than that but that's mostly me guessing.
  15. Interesting. I haven't seen this yet. Anyone else having this problem?
  16. The same mods are still in charge of how the forums handle posting and tone. Don't expect much to change in that regard. Even if I wanted the forums to change, and I don't, the way the forums are managed here is almost identical to what we created over at Twins Daily. It's part of what I found so appealing about this project in the first place; we all see eye-to-eye on how the community is managed and the way it operates.
  17. I mean, it's a real thing. Rockies hitters in the aggregate suffer on the road in comparison to their true talent level. The team has been around for 25 years, we have a lot of data on it now. Though obviously, "the aggregate" doesn't necessarily apply to Trevor Story. There's a lot of variance in any single player. Story could be an outlier in either direction, good or bad. Personally, I would have rolled the dice on Story, though maybe not if I'm Boston. I don't really like what they're doing here, as I'd focus on other parts of the roster and work to keep Bogaerts instead of offering Story a pile of cash. Especially if Story isn't even going to play SS this season. A lot of his value is derived from his defensive acumen that will be lessened at 2B, especially in a season that still allows the shift to exist (2B has been the biggest defensive victim of shift-era baseball).
  18. I just want to bring awareness that the forums will not be the "front page" of the site starting in the next few days. We're currently building out the news section and that will become the front page of the site within the next week. Nothing about the forums will change, they'll just be located here going forward: https://brewerfanatic.com/forums/ This isn't really a big deal or anything, I just want to be transparent about coming changes so as not to startle anyone. If you want an example of what the front page will look like, you can see it at Twins Daily: https://twinsdaily.com/ Thanks, everybody. You've all been truly fantastic during all these changes and this will probably be the last significant change to the site for quite awhile.

  19. The truly hilarious part of this thread is that we're currently building what will become the best Brewers news resource on the internet and it will launch any time between five minutes from now and next Monday. So, yeah... I'm both amused and confused.
  20. Yep! Just start with an @ symbol and start typing the username, the system will begin to auto-fill options of users to select. @homer
  21. Well, first, this isn't very constructive criticism and second, you're going to have to be more specific about what is missing because nothing has actually been removed from the site. The entirety of the forums are still here, though a few things are in slightly different places now.
  22. I incorrectly created this button last night and I suspect you have the old version cached. At some point in the next day or two, your device/browser will naturally flush its cache and you'll pick up the new version that works.
  23. I read somewhere March 29th is the day it drops on the Tuesdays app.
