  1. Nice blog entry, @Stealofhome! Given Hoskins' limited PAs against lefties, this isn't something I'm terribly concerned about... yet. But I've seen good righties just become lost against LHP for a full season at a time (the entire Twins team did it in... 2022? something like that). Hopefully that isn't the case here but it's definitely something to keep an eye on.
  2. We're bringing back this event after taking a year off last year due to event coordination issues. We're not promoting this outside the site yet but wanted to give all of you forum users some incentive to come by and watch a game with us! Here are the details: It's a 6:05pm start on July 27th vs the Marlins. We'll start tailgating around 3pm so come by for complimentary brats, beer, and conversation. I'll be there, along with several Brewer Fanatic writers including our new beat writer, Jack Stern. The game ticket itself is $46 (section 211, first base side) but we're offering the package for $40. Most importantly of all, this event is free for all Brewer Fanatic Caretakers. For $60/year, you get a free $46 ticket and ad-free browsing across the site for the next 12 months. Due to the cost of this event, it's likely caretaking prices will go up later this year so jump in now while you can. Become a Brewer Fanatic Caretaker today by going here: https://brewerfanatic.com/subscriptions Here is the link to the event page, please join us for a great time and hopefully a Brewers win!
  3. I find this year really encouraging, mostly because of the offense. The Brewers are showing they're still a pitching development beast but now if they can also assemble a competent offense, watch out. That probably won't happen this season and that's okay. But given their selection of young arms, the future looks really bright.
  4. I mean, the team has the third-best record in the league. Could they be better? Sure. But given this rotation, it's nothing short of a miracle they have the record they do.
  5. Rough pitching matchup tonight. Will the real Freddy please stand up?
  6. I tuned out, assuming the game was well in hand. I just watched the recap and wow.
  7. Looks like I missed very little after going to sleep last night while the game was tied 2-2. Sigh.
  8. I literally LOLed at that list of players who were out at the plate.
  9. Welcome to the site!
  10. The Angels were my local team for almost a decade (I lived in Long Beach). Fun fact about me: I was at the first rally monkey game in... 2000? Somewhere around that time. Against the Giants IIRC.
  11. You've probably seen the forum already but today I opened access to everyone to start playing around with this. The goal of this project is to collect all of the coolest information on Brewers players across the history of the franchise. Have a favorite but obscure player? Grab him today and create a page for him! Or want to grab icons like Yount? Have at it! We're not promoting this project yet, I just wanted to do a quiet soft launch so those of you interested in Brewers history can have first shot at the juiciest players first. https://brewerfanatic.com/milwaukee-brewers-players-project/

  12. West coast game so there's a near-zero chance I'll be tuning in due to being an old man.
  13. Try to find a situation where it's better without Snoop Dogg. I dare you.
  14. Rough game last night against a team that feels somewhat like a mirror image of the Brewers, only with a stronger rotation and much worse defense.
  15. Can't steal bases if you're trotting around them all the time. Boringggggg.
  16. First order of business: everybody bunts all the time
  17. The Brewers can do a little damage to one of the many teams floundering just under .500 in the NLC. Also, I just noticed the Cardinals are now in sole possession of second place. Gross.
  18. We're bringing back the Slam At Am Fam for 2024. Join us for a game against Miami! I know Brewer Fanatic might look like a simple online site, but at its core, it’s about community. Maybe you’re part of the moderators, or one of our team of writers, or a commenter, or an everyday visitor. Whatever your role, you’re part of our community, and we think we’re stronger together than we are apart. So let’s get together. We’re throwing a party at AmFam on Saturday July 27th, when the Brewers take on the Marlins. The game starts at 6:10, but we’ll be tailgating beforehand. Anytime after 3 PM, you’re welcome to stop by for some complimentary dogs, brats, and beer. Then we’ll head into the game. The new management team responsible for Brewer Fanatic will be there with their families, as well as moderators and writers. We can talk Brewers or the site or beer or nonsense – after all this is a tailgate. The twist this year is that from here on out, the Slam At Am Fam will be free to all Brewer Fanatic caretakers. Along with a ticket to the slam, you'll get ad-free browsing across Brewer Fanatic and access to exclusive content like the Offseason Handbook. Click here to become a Brewer Fanatic Caretaker starting at as little as $5/month! We would all love to meet you, serve you up some lunch and catch a game. We hope you can make it. Keep an eye out in the coming days as tickets will become available alongside another announcement! View full article

  20. I simply don't see a way the Brewers get a return on Adames given that his production is very useful on the 2024 squad and they'll miss out on a 2025 compensatory pick if they trade him. Is it possible? Sure. Will it happen? Highly unlikely.
