  1. so you're saying we could get something good for him.
  2. Maybe. I also meant a guy who could also not hit in the bottom 1/3rd for the position.
  3. I meant someone who could play a better 1B than Rowdy.
  4. Phillies are getting no-hit through 7. Because it wouldn't be fun unless we're tied with them, but still miss the playoffs.
  5. He only has batted 6 times in Oct and 12 times in Sept (when he hit .417)
  6. So if we have the 3 biggest vote-getters in rookie of the year next year do we get 3 extra picks?
  7. I'm at BWW, stealing wifi from Best Buy, who have blocked almost every sports-related site, other than this one.
  8. Obviously if the Brewers picked first, (nearly) every team would pick in a different slot.
  9. He's a pretty good #3 starter (even #2 starter), but we have an embarrassment of riches.
  10. Tankathon has a simulator on their site. On the 17th try, I got the Brewers with the 2nd pick. Every other try they had the 18th. Then 40 more tries, all ending with the 18th pick.
  11. How do we get Rowdy to play less 1B and more DH?
  12. That is pie in the sky thinking. Renfroe has literally been our best hitter this year. Wiemer shouldn't be on the opening day roster. Renfroe shouldn't be traded unless the Brewers get a great offer for him that brings back a good bat..
  13. I really want Arenado to decline his option, and we pay him 4yr $144M.
  14. There are only 11 .300 qualified hitters in the majors this season.
  15. Can Mitchell be a .300 hitter if he's in the majors for the full season in 2023?
  16. I think the fundamentals have changed due to analytics. Most guys are best served by grip it and rip it in every circumstance. I'd just like them to hit it in the air when a SF is needed.
  17. They need to improve the pen and offense as much as they can (while also promoting 2-4 rookies who weren't on the opening day roster) and hope the starting pitching stays healthy and performs to 2021 levels or better. If they aren't a contender around the trade deadline, they need to dump as many guys about to be free agents as they can (for a reasonable return), for controllable players or those who can come up in 2025 or earlier and be a part of the Frelick-Mitchell-Turang-Ruiz-Wiemer wave (while expecting one of those players to be expended in a trade).
  18. I don't think he'll be a full-time DH; McCutchen played 50 games in the outfield. Yelich will play at least that much.
  19. Wong has hit pretty well this season after a slow start. What do you think we could get for him if we pick up his option (assuming there's no no-trade clause tied with that option)?
  20. IMO, you don't trade Renfroe (through 2023) until Wiemer has proven himself to some degree as a major league hitter.
  21. the worst team beats the best team about a third of the time.
  22. They're significantly better than average (10th in Runs and OPS).
  23. If their starting pitching performs up to potential, they can beat any team. The Cardinals won the WS when they won 83 games during the season.
  24. A picture of the celebration of the walk-off came through my social media. Kinda weird since they were eliminated from the playoffs.
