  1. Mitchell has really been hot lately. He's providing what I hoped Frelick could have done, if he were called up. It will be good when they're both on the same team again.
  2. MFers. I've repeatedly said that our success is dependent on Burnes, Woodruff, Peralta and Lauer dominating. Lauer did his job. Peralta did not.
  3. And now it's 45.1% Did they run more simulations or something?
  4. I'm sure they have an algorithm. It's not some guy just guessing a number.
  5. you realize it wasn't actually a competition, right? ?
  6. ESPN has our chance at 44.5%. Not sure why.
  7. only one or two were actually strikes.
  8. Knizner has 4 HRs this year, and 2 were hit in his last two games vs. the Brewers.
  9. So StL idiotically brings in a RHP to pitch to Hiura, who rakes vs. RHP, and CC immediately PH's Yelich. It worked out OK, but it was stupid.
  10. ESPN now has the Brewers' chances as 33.5%. SD almost guaranteed to get in the P.O.s.

  12. that would be great, but I'm tired of setting him up to fail. He should seldom start against LH, and certainly not when he's 1-11 against him.
  13. Hiura is 1-11 against Quintana, so of course they're starting him.
  14. Oh, OK. So they couldn't bounce him back and forth from the minors without exposing him to other teams. But they'll be exposing him if they remove him from the 40, too.

  16. They can keep Reyes on the 40-man, can't they? Not saying they should.

  18. There are hundreds of ways. Sign Peterson at $4M per, and sign the best reliever you can get for $4M. But that's not really how a salary budget works; many of our players will get increases in 2023, and the $8M will just get dissolved into the overall budget. They could try to extend someone and the money goes there.

  20. $120-150M. I like to be right.
