  1. 90-72 - playoffs. Weeks finally shows his potential, and Hall's lasik surgery lets him hit again
  2. He could just say that any home runs hit by a player during a season that he was using steroids do not count towards his career totals. That would drop Bonds below Aaron, and knock about 150 HR's off of A-Rod. I'd be ok with such a rule.
  3. The real problem is the extreme difference in local TV revenue. What do the Brewers get from FSN vs what do the yankees get from the YES network? The solution is to put all the TV revenue into a pool to split with all the teams. If the yankees don't like it, then don't let them have the rights to show the team the yankees are playing. They don't exist without the rest of MLB.
  4. City buses only run on main roads that get plowed early and often, plus most students live within walking distance. This is not the case for schools. Also we are talking little kids here, not adults like in college.
  5. Are the Brewers games that aren't on 1310 moving to 100.5? If so, this is great news as 1070's reception was poor (and horrible after dark).
  6. The next wave also suffers in comparison to the the previous waves, because the first wavers are in the majors now, and would be the ones replaced when the next wave hits. Replacing Counsell with Hardy is more exciting than replacing Hardy with Escobar.
  7. I'm for Rays - Phillies. I have no reason to care for the Dodgers, and the Rays have never been there.
  8. 90 % may not know the Brewers' AA club is in Huntsville, but most would know what state Huntsville is in. Brevard County is another matter, who knows county names?
  9. It's too painful to watch the all of the games right now, but I will keep checking, and if the Brewers aren't loosing, I'm sure I'll get sucked in. Now that I've lost almost all hope for the season, I probably won't smash anymore headphones like I did in the bottom of the 9th today.
  10. I feel better now that I've donated. Still it doesn't make thinking about the Brewers bearable right now.
  11. Reading X elence's take on Money's comments, I thought Money had really called out Angel. Reading the actual comments, it looks like Angel needs a good bit of work, but has promise and is improving. I can't say how it will turn out, but nothing makes me want to try to dump him to an AL team while the value is high. Of course reading Coach's comments, I'd think that Angel should be the starter in Milwaukee right now. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. 120 pitches over 9 innings is only 14 per inning. I don't think that is particularly hard on an arm. I can see a 100 pitch count early in the year, but it's warm now so let them go if they are not struggling. Sheets is a bit of a different case with his injury history, but who's going to take the ball out of his hands before 120 pitches if he is doing well?
  13. Doesn't know if he will go or not?? How often do second rounders not sign? Even against HS batters, that K/9 of 18 is seriously impressive.
  14. Bioinformatics software engineer.
  15. It has enough wild action for the kids, but was absolutely brilliant for anyone 20-30 when it came out. What other show would make a cannibalism reference in a Christmas episode?
  16. The Brewers have only had 12 pitchers. Turnbow proved he didn't count as a pitcher. I had hoped his decent job in getting the save would have turned things around for him, but instead he looks so turned around that he needs google maps to find home plate.
  17. Wow, great win. Thank you T-Bow for closing it out. Hopefully he will get in a groove now. And I think Prince has just shut up us carnivores.
  18. And how many left handed batters are actually good against a hard throwing lefty?
  19. I have nothing personal against Chad, he just wasn't that much as a player. I do wish him lots of playing time in NY. (Anything making the Yankees weaker is good for baseball).
  20. ROY and MVP factor significantly in the pre-arby pay scale. I think it reasonable that they would factor into the arby assessment as well. Sure the awards are subjective, but they are significant awards. Also since there is not just one statistic to look at, the choice of which stats to use, how much to weigh them and what dollar figure to associate with each is somewhat subjective.
  21. And I was just thinking Gange was going to be ok, with opening day just being a weather thing. UGH!
  22. Can't the Bucks just forfeit the rest of the season, so we can actually get games worth watching.
