Yeah. I’m pretty down on him. Not just tonight but I don’t see a program builder. He’s not a good in game coach. There hasn’t been much improvement in quality of play etc.

That’s gonna be tough for CLF to keep his job I would think.

He has no touch on shorter throws. His ball is hard to catch and he doesn’t place it where receivers can do something with it after the catch.

LSU is a school to watch for these late roster additions. Throughout most of the summer they had 4 players signed for this season. They just played an exhibition game with 8 players signed. They are looking at filling out the roster with these older players with one year left. Crazy times. -

I believe he was like Carrington in that he didn’t have eligibility after last season. The off season rulings have given him the possibility of one more NCAA season. I thought he was pursuing an opportunity to play overseas but that may not have worked out. The Badgers have prioritized Carrington for that last roster spot. So basically no room for him even if there was mutual interest in returning. -

Practice started this week. No idea how this version of the team will be this season, but I find myself just as excited as usual for the start of the season. Reports seem to indicate that Foxwell is capable of being a good facilitator of the offense and has the defensive pedigree we haven’t seen for a while at that position. Sounds like Elmer is a bigger version of Tonje. Better outside shooter maybe but not as good off the dribble. Autry seems similar to Carrington and they appear to be splitting time with the ones in practice. Still waiting on court decision for Carrington but sounds like he may be granted the extra year soon. They also have the defensive specialist at C position to work with in the front court rotation Looking forward to @Jim French Stepstool starting the new season thread soon. -
I didn’t realize he had that title but I believe he is mostly responsible for recruiting and developing those linebackers and probably is looking for a head coaching job again in the future. No matter what they do, he probably will be moving on, such is life.

Probably about time to name Mitchell co-defensive coordinator and raise his pay. I think he was a head coach at a smaller school before he was hired at UW. I don’t want to see him leave

Now that we are a few games into the season, I think I agree with many fans, this is a good, not great, team. I do like the defense. D-line play is better than I thought, LBs about what expected, and secondary has been pretty good. Offensively, they are going to struggle to move the ball against the more physical defenses and it could be disastrous relying on Joseph's arm to win games.

I think I counted 11 new players on the roster this season? Big changes to the team but should be another fun year. Goaltending should definitely be improved and there are several players capable of stepping up and providing some offense.

Few more sacks would be nice. Otherwise it seems every position group has improved each game so far.
