  1. I’m afraid the weak link on this team is the inexperienced goal tending.
  2. Tough way to give up a goal there by Hauser. Hard to tell on replay but it appeared he could have gloved that puck.
  3. Obviously Michigan is the best win. I was just convinced this was going to be a letdown loss coming off that win and was pleasantly surprised by how they came out and played in the second half
  4. With about 3:00 left in the game, I was thinking this is going to be the best W of the season. Unfortunately, they did not close it out very clean. Still it was going to be a tough game to win against this MN team. They play hard and disciplined on D and slow the pace offensively. I think going forward we will see more smaller lineups with Carrington and Janicki instead of a true 5. It worked well in this game and will against most teams they will play outside of the Michigan and Purdue type teams
  5. Pretty sure Peacock games are exclusively Peacock. Most basketball games are not on Big +. They are on network TV or BTN. Only some of the earlier non conference games were on BTN + as I recall
  6. You’re correct, it’s incredibly annoying to have multiple streaming services for watching sports in general. I watch most hockey games on Big +. There have been sporadic hockey games on BTN. Peacock hockey has only been for games v Notre Dame as I recall.
  7. Badger hockey is a good bridge from now until the beginning of baseball. Give it a try
  8. I sincerely hope you’re wrong about that.
  9. MLF should be fired in the locker room and not even make it back to GB. Embarrassing
  10. Good to get a couple wins after the long break. Things get rolling now for the rest of the season
  11. Deadheads… R.I.P. Bob Weir. The founding Grateful Dead singer/guitarist has died at 78. https://stereogum.com/2484813/bob-weir-dead-at-78/news

  12. They had a couple more experienced/expensive Edge players in previous to this guy I was hoping they could close on. I really like Loftin as a high ceiling player, but he is a redshirt freshman with no college experience at a position they have no proven guys at
  13. Great win today. Going nuts from 3 was pretty obviously a big reason for W. I still don’t really have a good feel for this team and have been hesitant to jump to conclusions about how good they can be. But a couple things stood out for me today. One is that they are getting better defensively, especially on the interior, with the help side D, and cleaning up the defensive boards. Secondly, Carrington’s presence on both ends has been a boost to the team. Why has he not had more minutes? Basically this team has won every game they should have this season and now have their first Q1 win for their tournament resume.
  14. Definitely one Edge guy and one IDL guy IMO Now DT Perkins announced he is entering the portal so likely 1 Edge and 2 IDL guys to come
  15. Great question. Fickell and Tressell wanted to run a base 3-3-5 was my understanding coming in to UW, but haven’t had the personnel. They have run a variation of fronts the last two years. After we got dominated up front two years ago and there was an effort to get bigger on the Dline. Last year we had both the tradition pass rushing Edge and a “Jack”OLB playing on the D line.
  16. I would guess Cory is pretty solidly in the two deep and in the mix for sure. It will be fascinating to see all this play out with the new O-line coach. There are 11-12 guys in the O-line room that are freshmen and sophomores which is crazy also
  17. This kid is an experienced physical safety. Great pick up. I believe they are still going to try to add 2 DL, QB, 2 WR, and maybe a RB yet too. Probably done with DB, LB, TE, OL
  18. This kid is going to be really expensive I believe. I see they announced a visit from another Edge from TN tomorrow. That could just be a negotiation tactic or a sign they are moving on from this guy. We shall see. Fun times if you enjoy this stuff
  19. With the loss of Brunner there are only two guys with more experience starting, Kawecki, and Mandell. The other three spots will likely be three of the guys lighter on experience- some combo of Heywood, Simmons, Cherry, Wilkins and Cubberly I would guess.
  20. Never know how things shake out with the roster and who is still coming and going but it appears as though there may be just a couple returning starters on offense and defense combined. (Posa, Catalano, Mandell?). That seems like more than the average turnover even is this day of player movement. Also something this program probably needs.
  21. Now up to 18 known portal commits. Probably another handful to come yet. Going to be a very different team next year
  22. As I recall they were pretty physical with us in the paint last year. Hopefully we can match the physicality and shoot the three
  23. Big time get for the Badgers. Not usually the type of player that is attainable for UW. He was very highly rated out of high school and projected to compete for a starting spot at OSU next season.
  24. Up to 12 transfers so far. I really like the QB, RB and C on offense. Kamara on D is crazy athletic and could be an impact guy as well. Long way to go to fill out the roster though. One somewhat surprising thing so far for me is the number of guys with multiple years of eligibility left. I felt they may go for more older/proven guys given CLFs job status
