    I reinstalled the MLB app to my TV, now the game always starts at the beginning by default no matter when I tune in. I have to click the “jump to live” button to catch up. The app on my phone is completely different so it’s probably just different versions of the app on different devices I guess.

    Let the portal haul commence. Looks like UW hockey is retooling for a run next year depending on who is returning. Edit: Apparently Herrington is signing with Penn State now. Also Christian Fitzgerald signed with the Dallas Stars AHL affiliate.

    Couldn’t get another goal past the Denver goalie. Really dominated much of the game otherwise.

    1-0 after two periods. UW pretty much dominating the game overall. Would be nice to put another goal in net and put this game away.

    Can’t complain too much with the first period. 1-0 lead. A few bad turnovers, but the forecheck has been really good again.

    Badgers were one of the hottest teams in college hockey going into the Christmas break. After the break they have had a number of injuries to key positions, goal tender, defensemen and center. The goaltending has been suspect throughout the year with a freshman who was coming off shoulder surgery, but he’s come back looking healthy and been pretty good as of late. He needs to be huge today. Badgers are an older, experienced team that can skate with Denver. Denver is one of the top programs in college hockey in this century and their goaltending is the number one reason why they are playing today. It will be a tough matchup today, Denver is favored, but the Badgers have a shot if they can get another great performance from the goalie and find a way to put a couple goals in the net.

    Healthy Boeve looks like a different player so far.

    I didn’t watch a ton of Burke last year but I seem to recall him pulling the ball and hitting line drives and having a healthy number of Ks. It would seem he’s made quite an adjustment in the early going.

    Lucky to still be 2-0 after two periods especially with the ref show making it 5 on 3 for almost a full two minutes. Huge for UW to kill that off. Now they need to close it out.
