  1. No issues for me. Watching it on CBS
  2. Probably some maturing to do there but he has some talent. Nice to get the win again.
  3. Should also lock up an NCAA tournament at large bid as well.
  4. That was a good Iowa team. Badgers used their height advantage pretty well too. And Iowa didn’t shoot quite as well in the second half. But I thought the intensity on D improved in the second half for the Badgers and they were able to take over and close it out.
  5. I wish we were facing one of Fran’s Swiss cheese defensive teams today. I also miss the inevitable and amusing frantrum.
  6. Statistically, the first half was really even in all major categories. Badgers need to step it up on the defensive end the second half.
  7. The chances have been there again tonight. 26 SOG so far through 2 periods. But Ivankovic is pretty solid in goal.
  8. I missed the replay on that one. Looked like it was redirected in real time
  9. Alright. Good start
  10. Hope they show up again tonight and play well
  11. Goaltending has been one issue. Both guys we play are inexperienced. Hauser, who has been the number one guy is hurt. Pulver just hasn’t been great, but played pretty well last night. They were also hurt by some injuries in the defensive rotation. Again, last night things looked better, maybe more aggressive on the forecheck? I couldn’t quite put my finger on exactly what they did last night, but Michigan seemed to have trouble getting quality looks at goal for the most part. Offensively, they are deeper than last year. But, for some reason we have guys that seem to disappear for stretches of the season. Maybe they can get hot- get into the post season, and make a run.
  12. Good effort so far tonight from Bucky. The offensive pressure has been pretty consistent in the first two periods. Great to see three go in the net that second period.
  13. Rams OT Rob Havenstein announced retirement. Former Badger had a nice NFL career.
  14. Looks like a repeat of last nights game so far. Hopefully they can outscore them again tonight.
  15. I noticed that too. My guess is that has not been a very utilized component of this offense. Winter has not typically been a low post, back to the basket player. So they just didn’t capitalize on those chances as they could have.
  16. Tough way to lose a game. Whistles had a big impact on the outcome for sure. Badgers played a gritty game. The big three did their thing. Winter was key on both ends. Indiana was destroying us in the paint for most of the game so credit Gard for benching Bieliauskas and going with Winter at the 5 which helped the D.
  17. Great for Finley to get the game winner in OT. He’s been struggling lately.
  18. Badgers look like a different team tonight in the first period. Let’s see if they can finish
  19. Yeah I think the matchups were too difficult for him tonight. I would still like to see him get a couple minutes but I understood it tonight. Janicki is one of the stronger post defenders we have. I have been impressed with his play on the defensive end. Now if he could just figure out his shot.
  20. You pretty much nailed it. The D was the key. Got Blackwell going too. It’s looking like Rapp is almost unplayable right now. His shot is off and he’s a liability on defense. They played Janicki and Carrington down the stretch and it seemed to shore up the defense.
  21. Turnovers+ Defensive Breakdowns + Bad Offensive Possessions + Poor Effort = worst half of basketball I’ve seen in a while.
  22. If I were a betting man I’d take UW tonight pretty easily. I don’t think MN can impose their Dick Bennett pace against us at home for 40 minutes. We would have to play two bad halves to lose IMO.
