Goaltending has been one issue. Both guys we play are inexperienced. Hauser, who has been the number one guy is hurt. Pulver just hasn’t been great, but played pretty well last night.
They were also hurt by some injuries in the defensive rotation. Again, last night things looked better, maybe more aggressive on the forecheck? I couldn’t quite put my finger on exactly what they did last night, but Michigan seemed to have trouble getting quality looks at goal for the most part.
Offensively, they are deeper than last year. But, for some reason we have guys that seem to disappear for stretches of the season.
Maybe they can get hot- get into the post season, and make a run.
