  1. I think with Aoki, Gomez, and Plush, thats a VERY good defensive outfield... Braun, Hart and Aoki, should be a good to Very good offensive outfield. So at any given time.. our outfield (on paper mind you) seems pretty solid.
  2. When you pander to public opinion, you tend to get more supporters, ie more readers.
  3. Can't really argue with results...
  4. From what I've found and in my opinion... yahoo sports is generally against (cant think of a better word right now) Braun. NBC sports is generally for Braun.
  5. Skip Byless..... need I say more?
  6. I like Narv-dog's response yesterday per Adam McCalvy "Narveson declined to address what he knew about the specifics of Braun’s defense, but dismissed the idea that a technicality settled the case. He has a particular education on MLB’s testing policies because of his work with the union. “If somebody mishandles a sample, that’s not just a technicality, that’s an error,” Narveson said. “I don’t know all of the details so I don’t want to comment too much. Put it this way: This isn’t the first time we’ve had issues with the people [in charge of testing] in Milwaukee. There have been other issues with timing.” He added: “I would hope it forces stricter operating procedure. I said that even before the Braun situation in Milwaukee. It’s a matter of doing things the right way. It just takes one person who has an ulterior motive to mess things up.”"
  7. As reported over at CBSsports They point out a few reasons for the Sox collapse... but this is the jist of the article
  8. ^^^^^^^^^^ This had me LOL'ing.... HARD.... At work... thankfully no one was around...
  9. Now 'DERS your optimism right there folks ^^^^^^^^
  10. http://lombardiave.com/files/2011/10/Wisconsin-Logo-300x300.jpg
  11. I'll be there wearing my most succesful outfit.... its 18-1 the past 3 years in games I attend wearing it....
  12. Ahhh memories.... Twins game where Prince and Rickie both get first HR.. (it was the barrel-man High life hat give-away) These two happend while I had a 4-game, day-game pack (worked 3rd shift at the time) - Prince running over the Giants C (I think it was Sweeney). Koskie (sp) then tried to score but a decent heads up play from the P got him. You could hear the collision from the LF bleachers. - Brewer's tie it in the 9th to send it to 10th against the Mets. Mets dont score in top of 10th, and Bill Hall hits one out in the bottom 10. This one more memerable for me because I was 3rd shift and I told my then GF in the bottom of the 9th 'I hope the Brewer's dont score so I can go home and get some sleep'. As soon as Hall hit it, we knew it was out; We booked it outta there before the ball even landed. Was a great game. Braun's Walk off Grand Slam Dave Bush perfect to start the 8th (I didnt notice until the 6th, wife until the 7th) Prince's 2nd In-the-park HR Russell Branyan hitting JJ's name on the scoreboard opening day (first time sitting in Club level too) Twins game a few years ago, Brewer's down one B9, Russell Branyan PH vs Nathan (sp), Tell the two Twins fans in front of me 'if they give hime something to hit, its gonna go far' and 2 pitches later, Russ hits it into the stands.. in extra's Prince is 2" short of a walk-off HR as it bounces off the top of the wall and comes back in, Brewers end up losing, but was a fun game.
  13. Was at the game Sat... Was very cool... yes, not as much overall excitement and there was in '08, but we got bigger expectations this time.. Also.. was very cool to hear Overbay get a nice cheer when he got announced. ( even better since he didn't do much )
  14. We rocking 310, seat 1,2 row 5 for the whole shabang... Was awesome walking out on Saturday.. going right past Team Canada, Mr. Selig, and Mr. Brewer, Rockin' Robin! Too cool. Is there a pre-game BF meeting place? (You know... a BF.net sign or something might help with attracting more passionate Brewer fans.
  15. Sir Tony probably decided to bring only Hawaiian shirts so he doesn't have to pack for his post season plans.
  16. As far as the barcode thing... I know its paranoia.. But I do not think it's wise to post a picture of the ticket set online... I just have this fear of someone being able to grab the pic, and somehow use my ticket... So I'm just going to wait til after the WS to show the world proof that the Brewers are that awesome to me.
  17. Going tonight (fri) and Sat.... Hope they clinch either way. Loge tonight, Club tomorrw.
  18. Don't be surprised if they keep it... cuz you know they already printed the letterhead with it.
  19. EEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW That makes the gothic lettering we had in the '90's look good.. and I didnt think that was possible...
  20. brwersfan... we don't need to lose to clinch at home... we just can't have the Cards lose.
  21. We've been charged for the first two rounds... just not the WS yet... ( Think they gonna wait til after the NLDS like they did in '08) Really looking forward to having the golden tickets in our hands soon....
  22. So, my parent's dog (5-yr old Golden Retriever) deceided to rupture a tendon in her left hindquarter. I'm told its the same as the ACL in humans. They said it's gonna cost $3,200 to have the surgery to repair/replace or whatever they do. Yikes.
  23. They Clinch on 'Fan Appreciation Night' What? It seems rather fitting that way.
  24. Over here is a really cool article on the Brewers. Its a good read and I really like Hawkin's descriptions of the Brewer's individual personalities.
