Interesting story, But not surprising since it is the Marlins..... Story here Anyone really think the new stadium is gonna help them with the current ownership?

I'm whole heartedly against the DH, and I'm NOT a traditionalist. I'll put my thoughts into football, Do you want the QB to get hurt... maybe we should stop hitting them. Aren't they more important than 1 pitcher on a 5 man staff? I understand the econmics are different, but the concept remains the same. If the DH goes throughout baseball... my interest WILL wain.

Coming from western Kenosha County, We park in the eastern Preferred parking (by the pedestrian bridge over Miller Park Way.... Generally we have very few problems getting out. And here's the best advice I have for anyone parking on the East side of the stadium: DO NOT TAKE THE PEDESTIRAN BRIDGE!!!! Its like hogs to the slaughter there. Your best bet is to exit by Friday's, and head under the freeway, Its wider allowing more people to walk, and less people go that way... It's a longer walk, but you definately get to your car faster.

Its not just the 3:00 start that might hurt today's attendance.... 1st day of school (for most people anyways) Packers (preseason) Game. Badgers first game the 3:00 start might actually help the 'Crew today with the last two.

I guess she's getting quite a bit of attention.... Drew Olsen this morning is/did talk about her on the 'Bob and Brian' show.

It seems they said 'largest crowd for a home opener' as that's been surpassed each year after for home openers.

There's another option people aren't considering... Maybe he's in the process of signing a HUGE endorsement deal. I know we'd problably be hearing something about it, but that's not to say it's not possible.

Just think... a sweep of both series puts our magic number (assuming the Reds stay under Stl) well into the single digits.....

Jeffy... this is from memory (so might not be accurate) section 310 NLDS - $55 ($70 for non SSH) NLCS - $75 ($90 for non SSH) WS - $200

I dunno.... I'm ready to mothball the Cards at this point.... Too soon?

I really feel Estrada has put himself in the discussion for next years rotation... He's done very well with his oppertunities this year.

Its 40yr old 8' table w/ ball return.. (good condition as far as my untrained eye can tell) Wife doesn't want to spend the money for the moving company, but I don't want to break the table (or put it back together wrong)
  20. Dragonbait
So I'm getting a used table... is it worth the hassle to move it by ourselves (albiet with a few strong guys) or should i just hire a moving company?
  21. Dragonbait
Tell me you wouldn't want Counsell used to pinch run for somebody on 3rd base with 1 out in the bottom of the 9th in game 7 of the WS? (probably make BF.net explode)
  22. Dragonbait
Gonna change my list a bit.... Fav's to use in Video games.... 1. (I think it was) Tom Rathman. (Tecmo Super Bowl) Loved the 99 break tackles and having guys bounce off. 2. Tim Wakefield (Tony LaRussa baseball ((yeah... I know))) Only way I could beat my older brother was to throw the knuckle everytime 3. The starting 5 for the Blackhawks in NHLPA '93, Roenick, Larmer, Goulet, Chelios, Smith 4. The starting 5 for the Redwings in NHLPA '93, Yzerman, Federov, Ysebaert, Lidstrom, Chiasson (Add Probert cuz when he checked, he hurt people oftern (in game)) And fav's in real world.... Growing up I had posters of Jerry Rice Ryan Sandburg Loved Barry Sanders (though I was so happy the game the Pack held him at -3yds for the half/game?) William Henderson (loved watching him run hurdles over linemen) Ronnie Lott (one tough M.F.)
  23. Dragonbait
Ahhhh an NHLPA SEGA reference.... used to play that with my older brother... we'd have scores of 20 or more in the 5 min periods...
  24. Dragonbait
So when that same scout compares the MVP cases for Fielder and Braun with the case for Upton, he says unequivocally: "I'd put either of them above Upton." I'm sure that'll make the fans in AZ happy w/ us..

I thought 'Tree on Tree'.... say it fast and it sounds like 33
