    I'm not as up on the minor leagues as a lot of y'all but CV needs to go. He has nothing left to try in the majors and is killing this team. I know that Wooten has been untouchable but AA to the show (nearly A to the show) is a long jump. Any other ideas?

    I'm not sure that everyone is catching on here. To me, it seems as though the Brewers could trade Prince and make their team better than it would be with him. Pitching is what the Brewers need...they are really short in that area. Adding an arm or 2 that would be an upgrade over what is on the team would be worth it to me. Add another 1 or 2 for the future and the trade would make more sense. Just my $.02. Pitching > hitting.

    I'm not ready to throw in the towel this season even though this team really ticks me off lately. I am, however, starting to look toward next season for possible upgrades. My scenario is likely to draw some heat but I would like to see what we could get for Prince this offseason. He has AL written all over him w/in the next several years and I would like to get the maximum return for him that is possible. Think a Herschel Walker from the Cowboys to the Vikings type of haul. Prince Fielder to ? Let's start with the Red Sox. They have pitching to burn and can afford to go out and sign established pitching. I'm asking for Clay Buchholz, Hunter Jones, Felix Doubront and Casey Kelley. Now it's your turn. Who would you like from another team while, keep in mind, you trade your MVP caliber 1b/DH?

    We played in an AMAZINGLY fun game last night. Lost 19-17 but it really was a good game. I went 6-6 w/ 3 2b and 3 1b and scored 5 runs so my legs are shot. Fun night though...

    Back to the baseball related conversation...I want to punch my computer every time I see the suspension mentioned. I would have given anything to have JJeff's talent...but this punk cant stay away from pot for a couple of years to play baseball. Really, I would like to beat him with a plastic cooking spoon for this. JJeff...you are wasting your life and our time by being an idiot.

    How about the idea that Looper is an extreme groundball pitcher? Gamel is not a great fielder. Hence, Gamel gets tonight off. Is this such a hard stretch?

    I got rid of my bike but it was due more to immaturity than to a spill. I was 18 and had a 900 cc Ninja (miss that bike now!) that, as Nottso referred to, I beat the hell out of. I was going max-speed on Hwy 41, cutting in and out of traffic and generally cheating death ever time I got on it. I sold the bike after splitting two semis on 41. Two lanes, two semi's side by side and I went between them. A strap swung loose from one of the trailers and went just over my head. I sold the bike the next day and have not owned one since. All that said...I would live on a Harley if I was able to get one now that I am in my 30's...I'm much better prepared for it now.

    I went semi-Milton Bradley last night after a HORRIBLE call at home and got tossed. I would have felt terrible if my team wouldn't have won the game...

    Our team won 22-14 this week. We picked up a bunch of 18-19 y/o kids to fill some gaps and we became a very dynamic, fast, powerful team overnight. Now, we just need to work a couple of kinks out on defense and we are golden. I was 2-4 on the evening w/ 5 rbi...not stellar, but ok.

    All McGehee does for the Brewers is create options. If he is above average value-wise for the entire year he could stay at 2b for the future. Cameron is getting to the end of his career and Weeks knows CF. Why not try to get them both in the lineup at 1-2 in the order ahead of Braun and Fielder? Granted, small sample and all...but he is really centering on the ball right now...

    I must say, McGehee is really impressing right now. Will he keep this pace up? Probably not...but hitting in front of guys like Braun and Fielder can't hurt...

    We (wife and I) play a lot of sheeps with the JD partner, pick your own mess on the end in the Fox Valley (Oshkosh area). Can't get enough of the game and would be up to possibly hosting a sheeps evening at our place at some point this summer. I'll check with her but let me know if there is any interest...

    I agree. I bought 4 newspapers in Tennessee this week on my way to and from the Outer Banks and found NO coverage of the team. I also tried to listen to some sports radio down there and, while exciting, the only talk I heard was of Escobar. The dude couldn't stop gushing about him...
