  1. I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat and a '64 Impala. Anyway, I would not go 7 on Lee with the recent mileage on his arm...
  2. Done http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. If you click on Braun's girlfriends profile pic you can see some of her and Ryan. Wow, the boa...wow.
  4. Yeah, if it is Lawrie I'm going to be ticked for the same reasons as trwi7 just posted. I know you can't win w/out pitching but if Lawrie is going out Weeks can basically sign his own offer sheet and we can watch him walk away as well...
  5. I just hope that we aren't getting in to a situation where Melvin knows that he only has 2 years left and decides to "go all in" with our farm system. While that is not his trade style, he is at the end of his rope right about now.
  6. I am not able to embed the video for some reason so I pasted the YouTube link above. But it was not your fault but mine And it was your heart on the line I really f****d it up this time Didn't I, my dear? Mumford & Sons - Little Lion Man I cannot get rid of this song. I'm not usually in to this genre of music (normally either 90's rock/grunge or old school hip hop) but I am 100% addicted to this song. Honestly, I have listened to it around 30 times today/last night and still cannot get enough. If you have not heard the song save your sanity and do not listen to it. If you have and didn't like it...give it another shot. I was really meh about the song the first two or three times I heard it but, like I said before, I am addicted. NSFW lyrics (only one word...said a couple of times)...
  7. I 100% agree w/ ya trwi7! KG is not eloquent enough to put that statement together let alone say it on the court...
  8. What a great game tonight (even that the Bucks lost)! I loved watching two teams battling it until the very end. I do not, however, like anything that Kevin Garnett does either on the court or off. He is a thuggish punk that, like Charlie Villanueva, I would love to punch in the face. He says that CV is a "cancer" to the league. I disagree, if anyone is bad for the league it is Garnett.
  9. Thanks for posting that!! I listened to that game in my grandparents backyard after catching about 4 buckets of white bass (my parents and grandparents were all "thrilled" to be cleaning that many fish). When the Brewers won we all yelled and people were actually beeping their car horns in the city. It was truly a very exciting moment that as a 9 year old I didn't fully appreciate. Best part: It would have been semi-normal to hear the car horns in the Milwaukee area. We were in the middle of Omro, Wisconsin which is 90 minutes north of County Stadium.
  10. The Subaru Legacy with the power options is great for taller guys. My company's fleet management contractor does regular tests for these types of issues and has picked the Legacy, Toyota Camry, Buick Enclave and the Nissan Rogue as great vehicles for both small and larger people...
  11. I put it in the trade forum about 3 weeks ago that Prince was really close to going to Detroit at the deadline (per the radio host that claimed that he was in the know). I really think that this deal goes down this offseason as Detroit could really use another bat to go with what they currently have.
  12. How does the auto aim glitch work? My guns never auto aim http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. I am getting so frustrated with COD Modern Warfare 2 for PS3. Too many hackers/aimbot users. What a waste...
  14. There is no guarantee that Towers will keep Kirk Gibson in Arizona. Towers did not hire him and most GM's seem to like to bring in "their guy". I would take him in MKE in a heartbeat. Sure, he doesn't have the greatest track record at this point...but he really hasn't had much to work with.
  15. Time to N A I L a member of the Reds. Please Wolf!!!!
  16. Bump. Is it time to dot a member of the Reds? I think so. This game is already out of hand and Braun just left the game AGAIN from a HBP. C'mon Wolf, carry out the CODE RED!
  17. I am in Michigan for the evening and was listening to some of the local Tigers sports radio this afternoon. The topic was "most disappointing part of 2010" and one of the radio hosts mentioned the fact that Detroit didn't "finish the Fielder trade at the deadline" was his biggest disappointment. I know that they were thrown out there as a possibility but was a deal really that close? He also said that with the amount of money that the Tigers have coming off the books at the end of 2010 they would probably make another strong push for Prince.
  18. My cranky wife and all of her insults bug me. She even had enough of a mean streak to say that life is better when I am in hotels on work travel. What a great bride.
  19. Wow Valpo, I completely forgot about Images and Words! I need to find that disc and get it on my ipod...
  20. Not sure if I will get nailed for this but the "Butthole Surfers" was the worst one for me while growing up.
  21. I would really hope that there isn't as much bench-rotting as has been predicted for Gamel. Casey McGehee could really use a couple of days off on those knees and this team really should be in preview mode for next year. Side note: Not sure if I should start a new topic for this but I would love for the young players to see most of the action from here on out. The team's record would surely falter but this would help the Reds in their quest of holding off the St. Louis - holier than thou - Cardinals. Am I in favor of tanking? Nope...but really, these guys need to be evaluated at the MLB level so why not do it now instead of during next season?
  22. Ok...I love this topic. It would be amazing to have a staff with at least 3 or 4 of these mid-90's pitching (not throwing) guys. With their age similarities it would definitely seem feasible in 2011 and 2012...
  23. Could we see dueling 100 MPH heaters in this series with the Reds? With as over-matched as the Brewers looked against Chapman I would love to see the Jeffress Express return the favor...
  24. What's funny is I was going to post the exact same thing. Wow X, we agree on something! With Cain and Dickerson on the team already there is absolutely no reason for Gomez to be on the roster anymore.
  25. I met Willie Randolph during his 1 year stint with the brewers (1991). I was a 16 y/o high school kid that was still holding the dream of playing pro ball. I wasn't looking for autographs...just hanging out around the rail before the game. He was signing a different person's stuff and asked if I wanted an auto. I politely said "no" but would take any advice that he had for a HS baseball player. He asked if I was a pitcher or hoped to be a position player. I said "both" and he left for the dugout. He emerged with a big smile as well as with Duffy Dyer and Larry Haney. We chatted for about 10 minutes on what the biggest attributes HS players seemed to be missing and they both wished me "good luck" and went back to their duties. Although I never made it as a player (maybe could have been a DH http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ) their words really helped me understand my shortcomings in baseball and how to improve upon them. I also became a mega-fan of Willie Randolph.
