    Hey all, I have an HP notebook w/ Windows Vista. I am running Trend Micro Antivirus, Webroot Spy Sweeper and then the Microsoft standard firewall and security software that came on my notebook. Here's the scenario: When I download attachments from Yahoo mail I get the "scanning for viruses" from yahoo, then I click the "download attachment" and then "open file" and nothing happens. It doesn't matter what the attachment is...doc, xls...etc...nothing downloads. Does anyone have an idea as to what I need to do to get my attachments? Thanks, Hammer

    Parkside - be careful...once you start the online play on Call of Duty 4 you will quickly forget about everything else in life. It is like crack...you just can't get away from it.

    I was not quick enough to try that at the time as my blood pressure was probably high enough for a stroke. Being blind-sided on a Sunday evening makes the "smart" and "quick" answers/responses hard to come-up with.

    I had one of the most frustrating happenings of my career this evening. While he is a sales manager, not an HR pro, the jerk that was making a decision on my future with his company said that he thought that I was not being truthful on my resume. Questioning my integrity is something that I do not take lightly and this really ticked me off (words that are more harsh could be substituted for "ticked" when you are reading this...). How can a man that has a VERY impressive resume be sure that more companies are not thinking this? I am 100% repulsed by the thought of him judging me to be a liar instead of a rock-solid, best of the best, sales professional. Rant over...

    Thanks Invader. I am with you on the revenue part...trust me. From what I understand we were over budget when they ran the revenue against what our payroll was...so they started w/ the biggest salary/commission people and moved down. It was almost a curse that I was good at my job...

    I was marveling at the number of unemployed people that there are in the US yesterday over breakfast...especially with all of the announced cuts by the major companies either yesterday or Friday. I kept thinking "thank God my wife and I are still employed." Well, I had a conference call scheduled w/ my boss to discuss a client of mine and HR ended up on the call. OH CRAP, here come the 3 worst words. My company is going through "Corporate Economic Downsizing" and my job has been cut because I am expensive. I was the #2 salesperson in the state for 2008 and I got the axe. Words of wisdom: always keep your resume ready as you never know when HR will show up.
