    Yeah,it would be online some weekday night in late september. WE have 5 right now, almost for sure we will need a couple extras. I will PM you when we have more details.

    If anyone is interested I might be running a fantasy hockey league. Well, let me take that back, I am running one, but am trying to fill it (we have 5 so far) with local guys. I might be looking for some extras if anyone else wants to join. Cant wait for the season to start.

    I dont understand the eligibility rules for post season rosters. You have the be either on the 25 man roster or the 15 day DL on 8/31, right? What if a team has no players on the 15 day DL on 8/31 and in the month of September they lose 3 players to injury so that they only have 22 active players come the playoffs. So for example, Gomez and Weeks are healthy and nobody else on the 15 day DL. Then, Wolf, Betencourt and LuCroy all get hurt in September and cant play in the first round of the play offs. How do they fill those spots?

    Jungmann sounds like a pain in the butt. I'd sign Bradley and some the picks in the teens and let Jungmann go, take the comp pick next year. Nothing out of this kid's mouth has impressed me thus far.

    The jersey I got for my son was a Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby Winter Classic 2011 Jersey. The blue/navy colors. I have inspected it top to bottom and there is nothing,and I mean nothing not authentic about it. I am very happy with it. It cost $35. $42 with shipping and insurance.

    Counsell is going to be here until at least his bobblehead day, and then after that we are only a two weeks away from rosters expanding. He isnt going anywhere.

    Well done JIM!!. I dont ever remember seeing quite a pitiful list since the Power 50 began. Hopefully the Brewers can remember to sign their top 3 picks and get them into the system. edited for proper credit!

    This was a quote from the JS blog regarding the reworking of the K-Rod contract. First, when does the current labor deal expire? Is it a guarantee that draft compensation will be part of the 2011 offseason and 2012 draft? My thoughts for reworking draft pick compensation are as follows: Instead of splitting draft pick compensation up by how clubs finish a season record-wise, it should be determined by where clubs finish a season salary wise. Teams that finish in the bottom 10 in payroll: Their first round picks are protected, and if they lose type A free agents they get two compensatory picks - just like the system is set up now. Teams that finish in the middle 10 in payroll. Their first round picks are not protected, but if they lose a type A free agent they get two compensatory picks, again just like they system is set up now. Teams that finish in the top 10 in payroll. Their first round picks are not protected and if they lose a type A free agent they can only be rewarded a teams 2nd round pick. Not first rounders, no sandwich picks.

    You offer him arby and tell him that if he accepts, that's great, but he isnt sniffing the ninth inning unless Axford implodes or gets hurt. I doubt setting up for 1.5 years before hitting FA would make him worth MORE on the FA market than he would be after this year.

    Why would any top 2-3 round pick play summer ball and risk tearing up an arm before they sign?? A position player I could see, but not a pitcher. Not worth the risk.

    The Brewers should just go for 100% defensive players at SS and 3b, since they are likely to be easier to obtain and not an offensive downgrade from McGehee and Betencourt so far this year.

    MLB needs to move up the deadline to July 15th. There really is no reason to wait until August 15. Having to wait until August 14th to start negotiations is really annoying.

    I dont know if you were referring to my fun realignment post, but in that admittedly far-fetched scenario Chicago would stay in the same division as Detroit and St. Louis and would add Milwaukee in lieu of Columbus and Nashville.
