  1. We can still score runs via the HR. Thank goodness.
  2. How is Bush's pitching to blame for bunt singles, errors, and seeing-eye singles?
  3. Come on, we got 7 hits in a pitchers park vs. a good pitching staff. Sometimes we just lose a few. If we win 90 games this year we are gonna lose 43 more of these games.
  4. When I lay down for bed in a little while here, Im going to bed with a smile on my face, imaging this team has just won their 10th in a row to stretch their lead to 5.5 over their nearest division rival. Ahhh yes. I'll sleep good tonight.

  6. That's the objective. And it is the only reason I havent walked into Lake Winnebago already. The rluzinski disciples dont view the season in small, meaningless samples such as one game or one series. The season is a totality of all the games. We only need to win the division by one game. No need doing more work than we have to. Now...I must assimilate.
  7. Burn it, and have incredible make-up sex with your old one. Do it now.
  8. Im taking the rluzinski view of things. In this world things dont sting as bad when you look at the big picture. Pretend we have won 10 straight to stretch our lead to 5.5 games over the rest of the division. That is what I am doing right now.
  9. Did you ask him when he is planning on paying his back property taxes in Wisconsin?
  10. Ive never seen the fans of a first place team in a 5.5 game lead in a division so upset in my life.
  11. I see this team going 1-5 over their next 6, that makes them .500, so I'm gonna say the last game of the road trip vs. Minnesota.
  12. Remember that game in Philly a month ago? That was the game you are talking about. since then we are the worst team in baseball.
  13. Hey Texas - Scoreboard. We're in first, you are in last. So take that!
  14. Oh well. We're still in first place, texas is still in last.
  15. Are worried about your son's portion of "rent" paying off his roommates mortgage, and then your son being asked to leave at some point with no compensation?? I thought ALL rent payments were to pay someone else's mortgage. There really isnt anything you can do or worry about. IF it is security your son is after, then a month-to-month lease is NOT what he wants, as his roommate can choose to not re-up at any time. But anyway, there are too many "theirs" "theys" and "thems" in the fact pattern to make complete sense to me. Could you re post your question using names and state exactly what it is you are looking for? Why are "they" in trouble?? Again with the "they's" who are they? I dont think who "they" are matters, only that "They" are the homeowners. In which case they can charge whomever they want that lives there whatever they want for rent, and then use that rent money however they want. Im confused.
  16. We give up Hall, Jenks and Gallardo for Crawford, which is way way way too much, but even more crazy is that you have TB getting Maybin, Hall and Gallardo. That would be the worst trade for the Brewers since the Red Sox sold Babe Ruth.
  17. I would think a deal centered around Turnbow, Parra, and Gwynn maybe. Perhaps Palmisano.
  18. IF I have to pick one, it would be the comp picks. They are annoying,
  19. This thread isnt really about a proposal, what it would take to get him, or even if the Reds would deal with us. That said, He is a Free Agent at the end of the year, we couldnt afford to resign him, he doesnt play OF particularly well and we already have a glut out there, but... The way I see it, Mench needs to go, trade him, release him, whatever. Gwynn can go down to AAA from mid to late July to September 1, then call him back up when rosters expand. Hart/Gross and Hall can play CF, with Hart playing RF for Jenkins vs, LHP. Hall kills LHP and has trouble with righties, so starting Hart in CF vs. some RHP would be a way to keep Corey in the lineup a lot. THe line up could look like: Weeks - 2b Dunn/Hart - LF Hardy - SS Fielder - 1b Braun - 3b Jenkins/Hart - LF Estrada C Hart/Hall - CF Pitcher
  20. 1. No more comp picks for anyone. 2, No losing picks for signing players 3. Hard cap on draft slots so guys like Jared Weaver, Porcello, etc etc dont fall to the Angels and Tigers of baseball. 4. Force any and all international players who declare their intent to play MLB to enter via the draft.
  21. How many 4th round picks in baseball turn out to be better than Craig Counsell or Graffy? I wont argue that the upside on FArris is limited, but just because he projects to be a UT MI is nothing to get upset about. The truth is that he could project to be the next Omar Ziquel or Rickie Weeks and it really wouldnt change the liklihood of him ever becoming productive in the majors. That is just the wat MLB draft is, thousands of players drafted, few will ever make an impact in the bigs.
  22. Perhaps this explains it a little bit. It seems that college position players were undervalued in this draft because of a presumption of a poor overall crop. While Laporta is no doubt NOT at the level of an Alex Gordon, Ryan Zimmerman or Ryan Braun, I bet Jack Z and Doug Melvin felt he was the best college hitter out there. I just think there was a lot of value in the college bats tihs year. EDIT to complete a sentence or two.
  23. Ok, here is the deal. I know why people are so frustrated with this team. It is because we play in the worst division in baseball, people think we are a playoff team and that we should therefore play like a playoff team. Well, the reality is, this team is probably 6th ir 7th best in the NL and 15th or 16th best in baseball. In any other divsion this team would most likley be 30-31, or worse. We have .500 team talent HOWEVER because the division is so bad we have won a few more than we would have playing in another division, we lead this crappy division and now expectations have been raised. We're not good. We're not bad. We are just an average team in a bad division, and that means no matter how bad we play, we might actually be playing for something in September...but not because of us, because of everyone else in the division.
  24. This Ranger team is scary. they can hit AND they can pitch.
  25. Brett - from what I gather, over at iTunes, if you pre-order easy tiger you will get a password from ticketmaster to buy tickets for the tour before general public. IF that is a format you dont mind having your music in, it might be worth it. Plus, it's only 9.99 an album over there.
