  1. Sure, you can do that at DH and if you're adding a piece or two here and there. But the Brewers' organizational emphasis on defense/run prevention is paying off just as much, if not moreso. If you start adding a couple of Kyle Schwarbers/Nick Castellanos' to your team, then you're at risk of subtracting more than you're adding.
  2. And then there's the Brewers' defense...
  3. Too bad. That's the best contact Wiemer has made in a long time.
  4. For some reason I feel like people here think we should/would be happier if we signed FA bats like the Phillies do/did. Yet, this just goes to show that defense/run prevention matters just as much. For every run the Phillies get, their defense often ends up giving away.
  5. The Phillies' defense liketh to giveth
  6. Just as I was going to write Contreras absolutely kills Ranger Suarez in his career....
  7. Crap, Schwarber didn't hit a HR. No way we're winning this game.
  8. 4.5 game lead on the Cubs. We can hold off on planning the Cubs clinching last series of the season celebration for now.
  9. Tomorrow sounds like a great day for Yeli to get a rest.
  10. Can we stop it with this nonsense that CC is managing anywhere other than Milwaukee next year...
  11. Turang again. Could've been worse. I see no reason why Devin can't be available tonight given that he didn't even pitch in the Cubs series and has only pitched twice in the past ten days.
  12. Not feeling the greatest about Peguero coming into this.
  13. Siri, "show me how to give a baseball game away."
  14. Okay, Reds please end the game here.
  15. Honestly, I'm starting to think Contreras may make a run at an MVP award before his time with the Brewers is done. Just needs to hit less ground balls.
  16. Turner is good. I know Megill gave up the HR, but that inning was still filthy.
  17. Well, CC just did it with Chafin. Guy knows what buttons to push, even when it befuddles everyone else.
  18. Yeah. Must have been jogging.
  19. And this is why Schwarber is a replacement level player...
