  1. Bellinger is really starting to tick me off.
  2. Yep. It’s largely a patchwork unit right now.
  3. Oops I forgot to add “kind of”! That totally changes everything.
  4. Yeah, it’s not going to get much easier against Wheeler and Nola the next two nights.
  5. I have tickets to the Friday game of the Cubs series and I’m looking forward to seeing the Brewers clinch the division and Cubs fans filing out of the ballpark with frowns on their faces!
  6. Yeah, but when you add “I’m glad I’ll be in Europe that weekend”, the reasonable/logical implication is that you think it will happen…
  7. Probably to start on Sunday in place of Turang against the lefty, too.
  8. On the flipside, a Reds win tonight and then a Brewers win puts us a half-game better than we were entering today, despite the Cubs' win earlier.
  9. So, we're assuming the Cubs are winning the division now?
  10. Ewww. Owen Miller. Was underwhelming in AAA, just like he has been since June 1...
  11. Might want to win today. A loss and two Cubs wins shrinks the lead to a game an a half.
  12. Pretty much the entire Phillies’ lineup is white hot. Bryce Harper in particular is on an absolute tear homering in three straight games. Freddy is going to have his work cut out for him.
  13. I'm not counting this year. Should have said the previous two seasons.
  14. He hasn't really "sucked for a while", though. 112 wRC+ and 4.7 fWAR the last two seasons...And then good batted ball data marred by a historically low .076 BABIP.
  15. Plus, Rea also did decently against them in PHI. I personally think they should start using Gasser out of the bullpen in Nashville.
  16. Yeah. I forgot about Miller. Man, those would be some pretty meh callups.
  17. I'm actually starting to wonder which position player they're going to call up. All of the leading candidates playing for Nashville tonight.
  18. Assuming they'll add him to the 40 man and get him some at-bats in AAA.
  19. Yep. Literally zero downside with a decent possibility of a payoff.
  20. Wasn't Rea originally scheduled to start tonight? If so, that would be telling.
  21. Wiemer's numbers against LHP have actually been declining over the last month or so. He's completely lost at the plate.
  22. I trust the FO has a pretty good handle on the chemistry of the clubhouse and will keep that in mind. If they decide he won't sabotage the clubhouse, then I trust them. The Hader thing was more being shocked at trading a key player, whereas this would be adding someone for the final stretch run. In the end, we're getting next to nothing from the 3B position right now and are also forced to play Turang against LHP.
