  1. And yet his ERA on the season is better than Hader's and his numbers over the last few years are quite comparable...
  2. Not if they don't have a no trade clause. Like St. Louis is that much better of a place to be than Milwaukee anyways.
  3. Why can't a team gift us a superstar like the Rockies did with Arenado?
  4. Nice job by Corbin working past that leadoff single against Goldschmidt and Arenado.
  5. At least when he's not hitting, he can get on base, which is more than some of our other hitters.
  6. Sometimes I think this team is trying intentionally not to score...
  7. Yeah let's just keep giving Wainwright pitches off the plate.
  8. You say that like his outing last Sunday was unacceptable for a Cy Young winner when it was 6 innings of 1 run ball with 2 hits and 9 strikeouts. The offense scoring only 2 runs is what was unacceptable. And, on the year, his numbers are right at where they were last year other than the home runs. Only reason he's not the back-to-back Cy Young favorite is because of Sandy Alcantara. But, yes. We will need a standard Corbin performance tonight. Can't afford a Pittsburgh.
  9. Gotta get this one. Pitching matchup in our favor. Pretty much everyone in the lineup has hit Wainwright well. Hopefully the intensity is there.
  10. Or we might win these next two games and split with the Dodgers in MKE...Nothing is "over". First thing is win tomorrow and we're in good position to do so with Burnes starting.
  11. Season "ended"? It's August and we're a game and a half back with two more games this weekend. Not to mention that we're in striking distance for two wild card spots, too. We may not make the playoffs in the end, but nothing is close to being over.
  12. Yes, and when is the last time we played a team like the Dodgers, Mets, and Yankees? Jays are one of those teams above .500 that are in a playoff spot, but now they don't count either? You can only play who's on your schedule and the fact remains that the Brewers have done well against good teams so far, but have faltered lately against teams below .500 when they should be cleaning up against them.
  13. Yes, when you want to make the argument just like that, you're right. On the other hand, we haven't lost a series to a team above .500 since June when we played the Mets....
  14. Not exactly. We have four more games against the Cardinals after this series.
  15. Aghhh Taylor just missed it there. At least Helsley is probably done for the series.
