  1. Yeah, that run literally didn't start till September when they took 3/4 at home against the Cubs.
  2. There's a difference between what you're saying and the season being "over". I remember the 2019 team that played .500 ball or less for virtually the whole season before riding into the playoffs on the back of a hot September.
  3. It's August 7th....Two whole months to go and a game out of one of two playoff spots.
  4. They're definitely not as historically good as they were in the first half. Heck, I still view the Astros as the pretty clear favorites in the AL.
  5. Lost the no hitter, but got the much-needed quick inning.
  6. Because if he's our best hitter, he should have to be platooned...And he still strikes out too much against RHP.
  7. Yeah, let's give Hiura more at-bats and his K rate will decrease...After all, he's our best hitter.
  8. So, when someone belittles and/or misstates my opinion, I'm not supposed to say anything and just smile? Got it. I'm aware that not everyone agrees with my opinion and completely accept that and welcome criticism, but he literally responded to my opinion with nothing but sarcasm and an apparent putdown...Also, if you have any problems with me, you should private message me and not post it on the board.
  9. He's bad, but he's still a human. Not for that sort of stuff.
  10. It looked pretty clear to me that by the time his one leg disengaged from the bag his other leg and even hands were on there.
  11. Quality showing by this umpiring crew so far...
  12. And we have Angel introducing himself into the game...
  13. Quit it. Particularly after what Brock posted above.
  14. Yes. Mr. Sarcasm, because a team filled exclusively with players who are top 10 in WAR at their positions wouldn't be a serious World Series contender...And FWIW it's 5th by bWAR.
  15. No, it's not worth the money we're paying him, but his WAR this year is among the best in the majors for left-fielders...
  16. Yes and what has the actual production been since 2020? McCutchen has Hiura beat pretty heavily there....
  17. It's whatever you you want it to be when that poster has the history he does and is completely making things up about what I had said...
  18. The fact I literally provided is that since June 1st, McCutchen has been among our best hitters. May? Yes, he sucked. But McCutchen is also notorious for starting slow and then heating up in the summer months. And Hiura has been a disaster with the bat since 2020 and while he's got solid surface numbers this year, his 45% K rate says that those are likely to decline.
  19. If McCutchen "sucks", then what is Nicholas Castellanos @brewers888....
  20. Here you go again just making stuff up. What I literally said is that it's virtually impossible to say Hiura is better when a) he has so fewer at-bats than McCutchen and b) he's been a worse overall hitter than McCutchen since 2020. So, no I am not admitting that Hiura is better. Should he play more against righties and in general? That's also up for debate considering the whole 45% K rate....
  21. He's been one of our best hitters since June 1st. That's a fact. I never said he was a superstar or anything. But, of course, you do have the tendency to make stuff up and play victim.
  22. I don't get how you can answer Hiura when he's got three-times fewer at-bats than McCutchen. And McCutchen has been a superior overall hitter to Hiura the past couple years as well.
