  1. Yeah. But they have been holding their own against the good teams. Besides being over .500 against teams above .500, they've taken series from the Blue Jays, Twins, Rays, Braves, Phillies, Padres, etc. Again, we've had opportunities to pad our record against the Cubs, Reds, and Pirates, but we've completely failed to do so lately.
  2. Hader no longer being the closer seems like a pretty good change lately. Bush looked really good on Tuesday. Quintana and Montgomery have been good so far for the Cardinals, but they're not so far above what the Cardinals were getting before from their starters.
  3. Oh great. I'm sure Suter vs. Goldschmidt and Arenado will turn out well, CC.
  4. Yep. Outhitting the Cardinals tonight. Difference is the home runs and our inability to cash in with RISP.
  5. Let's at least keep the deficit to two runs so they won't be able to pitch Helsley tomorrow.
  6. The teams have barely changed except for St. Louis getting Quintana and Montgomery and us getting Bush and trading Hader. There's a reason they're separated by less than a game. Agreed that they have to win some of these games against St. Louis, but this is literally the first game of the series.
  7. Well, at least Helsley probably won't be available tomorrow if he goes two innings...
  8. The season series against St. Louis is tied as of right now. And the Brewers have a winning record against teams above .500. Our problem has been that we've been crapping the bed against teams like the Pirates, Cubs, and Reds lately when we should be dominating them.
  9. Also, Frelick is pretty much just forcing their hand at this point. No reason to have Davis on the roster.
  10. Frelick please. Tyrone is okay, but he's pretty much just a 4th outfielder.
  11. Can't criticize Stearns for the Caratini pick-up.
  12. Yelich was our elite hitter. And now he isn't. Very sad.
  13. Lauer giving you everything you want from your #4/5 starter. Offense not doing its job.
  14. Thanks Colorado for completely gifting the Cardinals Arenado.
  15. Sal Frelick with yet another multi-hit game in AAA. Leads the International League in hits in August and he just got promoted. Something to consider for the big league club...
  16. Of course you'd like it. But rotation shufflings are a very delicate thing especially when you have guys coming off injury.
  17. Sheesh. Nothing you can do about some of these line-outs.
  18. Okay, but then you have those guys going up against a better team in the Dodgers...
  19. Solo shots are fine. It's the walk to Carlson and near-walk to O'Neill that are the killers.
