  1. What a treat to be able to watch burnes and woodruff back-to-back.
  2. This is our team. Elite pitching, superb defense, and timely power. Now, for the sweep, tomorrow!
  3. To his credit, he's been absolute magic with the glove tonight. But yeah, you're probably right. Tough because normally urias would be the backup ss.
  4. He should be allowed a maximum of two base runners before he gets pulled.
  5. Oh god. Devin Williams?! Guess Burnes is going to have to wait a little longer for his first win of the season.
  6. Gott, Boxberger, hader if we don't score again? Don't really wanna see williams unless it's 11-1.
  7. And Vogelbach has way too little power for a guy that size. So glad we chose Tellez over him.
  8. Just absolute filth on his fourth/fifth best pitch. Burnes may be the most talented pitcher in Brewers history. Between him and sheets I would say.
  9. I'm a washed up high school pitcher, so I'm partial. But I dig the two run long ball, too!
  10. Nothing prettier than that backdoor cutter for a backwards k.
  11. Very true. But I would just say in the PITCHING Department in general!
  12. I GOTT a slightly different idea. But I like me some gustave, too.
  13. Stearns sure does know his relievers. Nice work on reynolds, gustave!
  14. Reynolds scares the living bejeezus out of me. Hopefully he's not up in a game-deciding situation in this series.
  15. Valid. I was thinking more in terms of team control and potential, which is huge for a small-market team like the brewers.
  16. Remember when we lost the trent grisham trade? Oh, those were the days! Although, I wouldn't mind trading lauer for a bat and making room for ashby/small. Also excited for urias to return and hopefully build on his breakout year.
  17. Was literally about to post, "Wouldn't it be a great time for Yelich's first home run of the season."
  18. Agreed. Though we ultimately faltered on offense and fell short of our expectations, last year was actually really fun for me, and I will treasure that experience forever. Will likely never see pitching that great again!
  19. I get what you're saying and understand it. For me, though, the Braves run last year actually increased my optimism of the brewers winning a world series in my lifetime. Nothing in their formula that we can't replicate.
  20. I certainly am no longer happy enough just to get to the playoffs. I just firmly believe that the mlb playoffs is about getting hot at the right time as opposed to being the best team. See the 2021 Atlanta Braves, 2019 Washington Nationals, etc.
  21. Again, this is not accurate. You will not find anyone who is taking for granted that we will be making the playoffs this year. You will, however, find people pushing back on the notion that our offense, as exemplified by a mere 10 games, is so horrible as to preclude us from being competitive, particularly when the exact same offense was good enough to win us 95 games last year. I actually agree that we need to add a bat or two in-season to bolster our chances.
