  1. Significant win over a good team. Woodruff looking like himself is a huge deal for this club.
  2. Not sure why Counsell did that but it wasn't good idea. Like I said Alexander has done his job as a starter. Give him Houser spot and let's get on with the Houser in the pen that we all agree is best for all.
  3. Yeah I would include Renfroe but since he was out tonight I didn't include him. I acknowledge Willie although I beleve he may be overvalued by Brewers fans because we have nothing else. If you go though mlb there are probably 12 to 15 guys that I would probably consider over him.
  4. Unbelievably this team has zero above average everyday major league players currently Adames probably is closest to it at this point and is a keeper. Everyone else is expendable and should be shopped.
  5. Tonight is another infomercial on why the Brewers need to find a deal for Hader and start to acquire some more talent. The idea is to win a world series but if you can't hit good pitching it ain't happening so make a deal and get the most impact you can. This season is a waste of everyone's time.
  6. Brewers seem to always have pretty good AAA teams as far as winning. They just stock a bunch of AAAA guys who dominate at that level and no prospects who can actually help.
  7. Now that the rotation has taken some massive hits the logic of not investing in bullpen depth has come to the front. Brewers figured middle relief didn't matter since the starters were gonna go 6 every night. Not so fast. Combine this with no hitting and you have a recipe for disaster.
  8. This bullpen is an embarrassing mark on Stearns and company. Sure Cousins got hurt but everything else is just poor management.
  9. I get that however there is something to be said for needing a new voice when a guy has been around this long. It is not unusual for a manger or coach to leave on their own because there is a sense that the message is falling on deaf ears. I'm not saying it is but it is possible that a change may in order just for new ideas. As you say there seems to be a stubborn side of Counsell this year that has not been there in the past. Perhaps this is all just a bump in the road. As I said I am a fan but this team is not going anywhere fast. Has limited resources and not a ton of help on the way. Time to reevaluate.
  10. I like Counsell and I know he's not going anywhere but change is good. Phillies getting rid of their manager and of course it gave them a jolt of energy. Every time they talk about Counsell chasing a record you realize it's been 8 years. His message could be falling flat. Just lifeless. That said if Yelich turned into Bryce Harper that would be good too.
  11. So you are telling me you would rather start a playoff series with the Brewers lineup over the Phillies lineup today?? My point is the same give me their lineup come playoff time. If you prefer Yelii and the boys so be it.
  12. Check back in two weeks. Castellanos has a track record. I will ride with him. No disrespect cause I like Renfroe but he ain't Castellanos with the stick imo. That said who else you got?? They are missing Segura as well who is still pretty good.
  13. Check the back of the baseball cards. Castellnos is better than anyone on the Brewers has ever been except the Yelich outlier years.
  14. What do the Brewers have to deal for bats realistically?? They have injured pitching and need more bullpen arms. Minors feel pretty weak except a few far away guys. How do they get better especially if money is a factor??
  15. Phillies have been a disappointment and there is no doubt they have work to do but looking at the lineup give me them in a playoff series over the Crew right now. They have dangerous bats that do big damage in big spots. Brewers are pitching rich and need to barter to get some fast.
  16. True but everything is truly relative with this team.
  17. The problem with everyone saying we need Willy back is he's now hitting 200.
  18. I mentioned cutting Cain a month ago and was told you can't cut a guy with his glove and clubhouse presence. Anyone ready to make the move now??
  19. Last year Stearns impressed me with not waiting and going out and getting Adames early. He needs to do the same thing this year with the mess in the outfield.
  20. No reason to dwell on it?? You mean just sit in silence for the next seven years and act like all is well?? Interesting. It's only the single most important factor on if this team has any shot or the resources to win a world series. Tha'ts all. No reason to dwell on it. Wow. I dunno man....
  21. Can't wait for the guys to ask Mark about the return on investment of the Yelich deal. would make awesome tv.
