  2. To be fair he really struggled his first month in West Virginia too: www.minorleaguesplits.com...ALb06.html And for kid trying to develop power, Brevard County may not be the best place; however, if he got sent out to Arzona this fall, as a loyal Brantley backer I wouldnt be opposed.
  3. What's Wrong: Bill Hall Havnt seen it anywhere. Not really an article, but an interesting read.
  4. Whats with all the walks from Bray? I think he is an upgrade over Spurling right now, but he walked 11 last season and has already walked 18 this year.
  5. If Boras wants to play hard ball, let him. What we get pick 7b next year if he doesnt sign? Somehow, I dont see Laporta getting 2.1 million if he re-enters the draft.
  6. Considering that few teams in the lower half will be looking for an 8-10 million per closer, I'd say 1st and sandwich is fairly likely. A) There is always the Cubs B) Whoever pays 8-10 million for a closer is probably spending alot of money this offseason. (Mets- Wagner, Ryan- Blue Jays) Id assume that we get the team's 2/3 round pick if they sign multiple free agents if we have a better record than the other team?
  7. Lisa Dergan? It would motivate me.
  8. Of coarse the on the lighter side of articles: www.sportspickle.com/features/volume6/2007-0620-fielder.html www.theonion.com/content/from_print/prince_fielder_dies_of
  9. Wasnt Eveland 2002 as well? Dillard will likely be a big leaguer at some point as well. One heck of start for Jeffress in A ball.
  10. Apparently Jemile Weeks is ranked at 16th according to Keith Law for the 2008 draft. I would post the rankings but I think it is premium because I got it of the Cub's ESPN board.
  11. Huh, Sean Morgan went in Round 4, are Pryor or Bauman expected to go in this draft?

  13. I would think there is a decent chance Adam Dunn is on the move if the Reds are still douible digit games out.
  14. Wow, how'd you ever catch that one? A friend with a birthday yesterday had me check brewerfan's database if it was shared when she was looking over my shoulder. From there, a check at Vargas' espn page yesterday morning and.... Thanks and keep up the good work.
  15. I think the frontpage is a month premature in saying it is Claudio's bday today.
  16. Well I would assume you are refering to Ronaldo Pascual who it was speculated was signed with Damian Miller lost second round pick money. He was Elmer Dessens bad in rookie league last year, but there are little updates or media following of the Arizona Rookie League so he could have just been "working on things" and he is only 17 when most of his competition is older. Periard slumped through a couple of years of rookie ball at a young age too and until last night has been spectacular in A ball, so really only people in the organization know how he is coming along.
  17. Should we look into this as he is behind the development of other prep ptichers or this organization has learned of its mistakes from Rogers? The pitchers we have drafted in the top 5 rounds have been in A ball the next season until this point with Amundson and Jeffress, is there anything that can be read into this?
  18. And you basing this on what? One bad month? He is two years removed from 35 home runs. He hit 23 in limited at bats last season. His OBPs have beeen amazing the two season. It really cannot see how he wouldnt at least out produce our current third base platoon.
  19. If the Brewers picked him I would be very giddy. Unfortunately, I dont see it happening as they havent done it before. It frustrating because Weaver and Drew would help us so much more than Rogers now.
  20. Anyone know of a good site for finding this stat.
  21. 10 hits 1 walk and NO RUNS in 5 innings http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif
  22. Villanueva or Dessens? edit: Villanueva, sweet.
  23. And a couple of defensive breakdowns and the Admirals are down 3-0.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif Never Say Die!
  24. nice to see the Canucks wear the throwbacks They bring back these beauties? http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a186/sheetsforcyyoung/Canucks.jpg
  25. I saw the 22 responses already and knew Braun did something. While, he has no one mentioned it. Interesting...... edit: he is now a triple shy of a cycle.
