  1. Wow, the bandwagon is emptying in a hurry. It's too bad, because I think they'll be okay this year, they're just off to a bad start. From a fan interest standpoint, a start like this really hurts.
  2. I heard nothing about Krynzel missing the last couple of games, but he is in the starting lineup tonight.
  3. I will consider it a moral victory if we can get Oswalt to 100 pitches.
  4. Supposedly Hardy is already ticked off because he's getting pulled wily nily. Where did you hear this? Just curious, because I find it hard to believe that a rookie who is hitting .121 is upset because his manager is sitting him down occasionally.
  5. As I finish typing my mini-rant about defense, Matt Wise actually gets the "fake to third, throw to first" play to work, and Hall and Spivey are daydreaming in the field and don't go to 2nd. COME ON! Not hitting is one thing, but the errors in the field smack of a lack of concentration. Edit: to correct quotation marks
  6. I'll tell you what else is grinding my gears. 1. For a "top-notch" defensive outfielder, Jenkins sure makes a lot of ridiculous plays in the field. Bobbles, overthrow the cutoff, etc. 2. Moeller may call a good game, but he sure can't do anything else. 3. The only thing this team has done consistently this year is make defensive mistakes.
  7. Did anyone else get irritated when Yost would not go get Sheets before facing Everett?
  8. Quite the game in OK City right now, OK has the tying run to the plate as I write. Well, Nashville got out of it, but it is still 16-13 with an inning to go. For reference, the 16 runs Nashville has scored today are only 4 less than the Brewers have scored over the last week.
  9. Brian, now that you are an automater, where I am going to get my daily fix of squares?
  10. Weeks is the most overrated Brewer prospect since Billy Jo Robidoux. The guy continues to get press for doing nothing. You cannot possibly be serious.
  11. With their 0 - 2 performance today through 5 innings, the Brewers are now batting a robust .197 with runners in scoring position in 2005.
  12. Your 2005 Milwaukee Brewers - We have warning track power.
  13. Jenks now 12 for 22, with 2 doubles & 4 HRs in his career vs. Josh Fogg.
  14. ugh...Mike Jones =Neugy Exactly what I thought. Any hope I was holding out that Jones might pitch again just went out the window. If you aren't listening to the game, Powell reported that Jones is still feeling pain in his shoulder. He came to Milwaukee for an MRI and they saw "incomplete healing" in his rotator cuff. He is having exploratory surgery tomorrow.
  15. I wonder if the umpire is squeezing Cappy today. Wouldn't be surprised... I doubt it, through 2 innings he had thrown 20 strikes & 7 balls. Cappy just seems to lose it at times and can't find the zone.
  16. Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything, Kent. 14% of people know that. Is this quote from Real Genius, starring Val Kilmer and some real ugly kid?
  17. Man, it shows a lot about Hardy that Yost bats him 8th in the line-up.
  18. is it just me, or has damian been pretty slow on the 87-89 fastballs today? Well, he is 35.
  19. Darn Jenks, he had a chance to be perfect today.
  20. wow, not sure if that's a slider or cutter, but it's filthy There was some print discussion about Maddux teaching the cutter to Glover this spring and Glover feeling pretty good about it.
  21. Phelps? where is adams? With Glover warming up in the pen, Adams is clearly being held for the close. Although if Phelps keeps throwing balls it won't matter.
  22. I really want this to go to the 10th, obviously so the Brewers can win, but also to see if Jenks has another K in him.
  23. Well, I don't know if the Crew will win, but the magic of LaTroy Hawkins is still alive. Was the ghost of Bartman in the stands knocking the ball out of Hollandsworth's glove??
