  1. Had the fortune of getting these last time. Just wanted to take another opportunity to thank Pedro. Pedro: Giving Brewer fans great seats at an even better price!!!
  2. Wasn't sure where to put this. Not really an article and not worthy of a thread. You blow one save and now they don't know your name. From espn.com
  3. I'm not gonna rip Cordero. Can't be perfect every day. But I can't pretend we've just won 10 straight either. That one just HURTS. I have to get up at 4:30 and work 16 hours but I'm having another beer which I'll hate tomorrow but not as much as watching that. OUCH!!!
  4. Rydogg, my man, tell me that didn't hurt. Be honest and tell me that didn't hurt.
  5. Brian--I love that. A picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks for giving me a laugh when I needed one most.
  6. Oh. Tell me that didn't happen. Someone please tell me that didn't just happen.
  7. "There's your run Ben." That's a sad state of affairs...
  8. I'm gonna cancel my order for now as I just bought a regular t-shirt. I'll check back with this link.
  9. I had someone tell me how great Cecil Fielder is doing this year. And honest mistake except they were 22. Just a funny thought.
  10. You know, that's my biggest issue with Yost. Just when I think I'm starting to understand his thinking, he makes me go, Hmmmm....
  11. Get a killer instinct!!! I'm tired of taking 1 run with 2nd and 3rd with one out and being happy with it. I'm tired of 2/3 when it should be a sweep. This team needs to learn how to put the spikes to the throat and apply pressure! I feel like this team is AFRAID to win and it makes me want to puke!
  12. I hereby annoint Graffanino the official title of "Rally Killer"
  13. I'm not mad Capellan blew it. I'm not mad that they lost. I'm mad because Billy Hall is my favorite player in the majors (despite his struggles) and that I paid 222 for the priveledge of watching the game in the Gail Club (awesome!) to get a pink bat with his signature (awesome!) AND HE BROUGHT GRAFFANINO IN IN THE 9TH!!!!!! How can you not give Hall a chance on his "big night"? How'd that conversation go? Ned: "We need to stop this rally" Sveum: "But....uhhh....we're at bat....and Billy's been hitting the ball pretty hard lately." Ned: "Good point. GRAFFY" Ugh.
  14. I hate losing streaks. I hate slumps. I know they have to happen to every team but it's just such a downer. I'm leaving town tomorrow and will be out of touch with all things related to the civilized world for 10 days and this is the taste I have in my mouth when I leave. It doesn't taste like chicken...
  15. Well that wasn't a very good finish. Not at all. I'm upset by that loss. Fire Yost Trade Turnbow Fire Svuem Sell whatever tickets you have THIS SEASON IS OVER!!!
  16. I'm trying to stay calm right now but there are 2 things that really worry me about this outing. 1. Turnbow is mentally vulnerable. I don't want to use the word weak but this is how it started last year. Yost should know better than to throw him into that situation. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason he shouldn't have started that inning. NONE. 2. Why are you warming Cordero to watch the go ahead run come in? Why are you warming him at all. He did this with TB last year which is what, in my opinion, helped him slide. They call a closer a closer for a reason. You gonna start bringing him in in 7th too? That's why there are multiple people in the bullpen. They also call someone a left handed specialist for a reason. Extremely hard to watch. 1 game. Yes. But I hope I'm not talking to a buddy about this one in a meaningless game in September.
  17. I'm scared. Somebody hold me. I'm in the middle of a flashback. Quick! Someone tell me it's only 1 loss. HURRY!!!
  18. I'm looking for good seats on the infield for the day game on the 20th. I'm taking a buddy from work who hasn't been to a game since 1973 and he wants to be close to the auction. bdwucinski@yahoo.com
  19. They may not be in first place. I can't wait to see the firestorm of overreaction when they hit their first skid. Somehow, it would be Sheets' fault! Anyway, I'm looking forward to a good pitching matchup. This should be a 2-1 game which means they'll probably score 14 runs in this one.
  20. Ned Yost is a strategical genious. These were the words of a caller on the PGS the other noght. A strategical genious indeed. So obsessed with the lefty, lefty and righty, righty junk is Yost that he takes the ball and puts in the hands of one of his coldest pitchers in the top of the ninth. And then, in a moment of shear genious, he brilliantly removes the bat from the hottest hitter on his team. Above all, he kept the righties and lefties properly alligned in the sky of the baseball stars. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO LET A GUY HIT CAUSE HE'S HOT. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO LET A GUY PITCH CAUSE HE'S HOT. AAAAHHHH!!! *This is not a Ned hater post. I've read some of the other stuff and I'm not going there with this one. I do believe he is overly obsessed with "matchups" I once heard an interview that asked Ned what he does when he can't find a statistical reason to keep a guy in or out. His reply, "I find another layer." At some point, you have to go with your gut.
  21. Check out Albers pic on Brewers.com. He looks like a total punk. I have a feeling they're gonna rock this kid tonight. 9-3. Sheets 8 IP 4 H 3 R 2 ER 6K 0BB
  22. I'm glad to see Nost is letting Graff work through his troubles after giving Billy a week off. Makes sense to me in a platoon...
  23. The Brewers may set an MLB record for men LOB this year.
  24. Of course I say something about Gross and he makes that play. Don't see Hall making that one. Nicely done.
