  1. ugh. Gametracker is schizing out on me. Said score was 5-0, then 0-2, now 0-0--what is it?
  2. Woah--I'm at work and I pull up gametracker--is it broken? Billy hit one out? I saw it went to left. Did he work the count to get something to pull or is he now gonna be dropping his shoulder all the time?
  3. Pretty sure you have to be in first place to have a magic number so it's actually like 41 with 39 to play. Blingster--I was going to do the same thing with some candles but you beat me to it. I can't believe someone beat me to that idea. Come on, Capppy! Don't lose your job on your birthday. BEAT THE REDS!
  4. Not really a vent but I wasn't sure where to put this. I'd like to get mad at this but I can't. "It was one of those days where you get lucky," Arroyo said. "Through seven, it was probably the easiest start I've had all year. They were being really aggressive and I was getting lucky and getting outs." Arroyo said that in the past, the Brewers had shown patience at the plate. Not in this one. "Tonight it seemed like everybody top-to-bottom was swinging at one of the first two pitches and putting the ball into play," he said.
  5. Is it just cause I hate the Cubs or are their announcers the biggest homers ever? Could they slurp that team any more. The line about how they scored 4 runs so far....THEY SCORED 1--the rest are unearned. Man I want to throw something right now.http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/mad.gif
  6. So maybe it's just a sore wrist? Well, we know that a sore wrist can't really hurt a hitter.
  7. I actually really hate to see this. Win or lose, I was looking forward to a race down the stretch. With Soriano and Ramirez down, I can't see how they're going to make it (if all of this is true.) I wanted to play them at full stength and as much as I hate Ramirez, I'd never wish this on him. But IF this is all true and the Crew doesn't win the division, my head will likely explode.
  8. I'm most angry that I still have faith buried deep inside of me. I look at the standings and say things to myself like, "If they can just take 2 from Houston. I still care and I still believe. I need a shrink.
  9. Playoffs?!? Are you talking abou PLAYOFFS?!? Playoffs?!?! This just never gets old to me. Maybe the need to.....practice.
  10. You know, I've read alot of things on this board that have indicated to me that the Brewers organization is not dedicated to customer service. I couldn't afford a ticket package of any kind at the start of the season but am on pace to attend 20-30 games through good fortune. When I approach a ticket window, I take a deep breath and get ready. I feel like I'm on the defensive. That really pisses me off when I read things like this. I'm glad you got something but I think you deserve more.
  11. but Favre used painkillers in the middle of his career to keep himself playing and was addicted to them, yet no one ever talks about that when brining up the records he can/did break. Not that it's even close to the scale of bonds' cheating, but it's something i've wondered what other wisconsin sports fans would feel about. Woah, woah, woah. Favre was a junkie for part of his career but working in mental health, I can tell you that being addicted to narcotics DOES NOT make you a better athlete and cannot be compared to taking steroids. Period. If anything, it would hurt you significantly in a sport as fast as football as narcotics cause psychomotor retardation. That being said, I didn't nod my cap to Bonds earlier so I will do so now. *nod. I will not make another comment on this subject and I hope that the national sports media can now focus on baseball.
  12. Estrada is part of the problem. But to try and pin this team's struggles down on the catcher, IMO, is a stretch. Many of the balls that have been hit hard are down the middle and I doubt he is calling for that. This team pretty much sucks all around right now and I'd love to be able to nail it down to 1 thing but I can't. They don't seem to be doing anything well right now.
  13. You know what I hate most about all of this? Aaron has been lost in all of this. This should be a celebration of him as much as it is a celebration for the record. But he's almost an afterthought on all this. To me, that's almost a crime and I will forever hold Aaron high because what he did when he did it was far more significant than just about anything any ballplayer could do today.
  14. Man, as soon as I think Hank Aaron couldn't be any classier, he gives a congratulations to the guy. That kind of moved me and that's what I'll remember from watching this tonight. Hat's off to Hank.
  15. Watching this team makes me want to poke my eyes out with dull, rusty butter knives.
  16. I'M GONNA DO IT MAN! DON'T TRY AND STOP ME! http://attrition.org/eq/hosted/panic_button.jpg
  17. If they lose tonight World may end inside my head Mushroom clound, tantrum
  18. Batters need to hit Capuano needs to pitch Brewers need to win!
  19. This, my first haiku Brewers need a victory And Hall needs to hit
  20. I don't know if I have the stomach to watch this game tonight. Lord, give me strength!
  21. It was advertising the "longshot" teams that are there every year. This one is saying Milwaukee has a chance to be this year's team.
  22. This is the last thing I remember seeing on Sheets. From JSOnline. http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=639317
