  1. I never saw a good view of what actually happened, but Baez was grabbing his right shoulder in a ton of pain. Looks like a potentially major injury.
  2. Corniel gives up a grand slam. The hitter was smart to just be sitting dead red. Corniel had no feel for his slider and couldn't get one close to the strike zone. Hitter waited for the FB and crushed it to LF over the scoreboard.
  3. Corniel seems to have completely lost it this inning. I would not be shocked if he doesn't finish this inning.
  4. David Garcia rips a double high off the wall in RF. 2 runners score. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out still.
  5. Wow Reece Walling moved up to the cleanup spot today. Really cool to see. His first AB as a cleanup hitter he shoots a 104 EV liner to left field for a single. Hit too hard to drive Pratt in from 2B.
  6. Yophery with another strikeout looking. He's clearly been watching too much Brewers film.
  7. Why not just let him catch both? Contreras has been slumping with the bat. His xwOBA over his last 50 PA is .307. Maybe shown signs of fatigue 2 months into the year. He's on pace to catch almost 240 more innings than last year.
  8. Most people probably don't care because it's incredibly easy to get a free Apple TV trial to watch the game. There's some people here who feel everything is worth complaining about that make up a vocal minority because most people just don't care enough to even mention it.
  9. I mean I don't know what other numbers would matter. wRC+ is how they hit. Runs per game is how they scored. The people here who still insist that offense was not good just refuse to acknowledge how down the run scoring environment was in 2022. I don't have the exact numbers in front of me but the Brewers were one of the best teams in the MLB at scoring 4+, 5+, and 6+ runs. You just remember that the offense went cold at the end of the season and that raw numbers were unimpressive (because league offense was down) so you remember it as a bad offense. That's not what reality said.
  10. Let's see the numbers for everyone else.
  11. It was about the 10th best offense in the MLB by runs per game and wRC+. Pretty far from "the team in general couldn't hit" like you claimed.
  12. The 2022 team had a good offense. It was the pitching that let that team down.
  13. Would be very baseball for the Brewers to go what 30 innings this year without scoring a run against a Cubs SP just to score runs against Imanaga today who like you said is a really, really bad on paper matchup for the Brewers
  14. Eduarqui Fernandez hits a 2-run bomb to left and we are tied!
  15. Brewers are going to have a tough decision this offseason on Yerlin Rodriguez. Typically you don't want to leave guys with stuff like this unprotected in the Rule 5 even if they aren't to the upper minors, but I feel like if the season ended today he would go unprotected.
  16. This last one was close, but I didn't have issues with the call. It looked higher than it was because Adams hunched over.
  17. Really dumb baseball from the Timber Rattlers. Need to know who you are playing against. Timber Rattlers try a double steal to get the tying run to 2B but Ramon Rodriguez is thrown out by about 6ft at 2B.
  18. Luke Adams is a strikeout looking machine. If not for a generous ball 4 call earlier he would be 0-4 with 4 strikeouts looking today.
  19. TinCaps bring in another RP throwing upper 90's with very little command.
  20. TinCaps bring in a RP with some nasty stuff. Upper 90's heat and a nasty slider. Fangraphs have both his pitches projected to be future plus pitches.
  21. Imanaga is a nightmare matchup for the Brewers. The two pitches he throws 90% of the time are two pitches we suck against. High IVB FB and splitter.
  22. Really feels like this would have gone differently had Turang not chased a pitch 6 inches outside on 2-0. Brown's first 3 pitches weren't even close to strikes and since Turang chased that 2-0 pitch he's just pounded the strike zone.
  23. Yes it was in Nashville. He had 1 rehab appearance in Appleton then was sent to Nashville and it was his rehab appearance in Nashville that he tweaked the knee in
  24. It was a year and 20 appearances not that it changes the overall concept. Still incredible.
