  1. If it was a slow runner at the plate who is a threat to GIDP then I would have fully been on board. With Turang I don't like it. You have Hoskins on deck who has mashed LHP in his career. I'd rather take the chance of Turang and Hoskins getting Chourio home than risk running into an out on the basepaths and Chourio while potentially being safe was beaten to the bag by the throw easily. It was a poor tag attempt that made it close.
  2. Dillard on the postgame show straight up questioning using Koenig in the 7th when the A-pen was fresh. Feels pretty rare for them to question the manager's decision like that.
  3. Adames doing his hero ball ******** again. That 2-0 swing was absolutely horrible.
  4. Koenig in the 7th with a fresh A-pen feels weird.
  5. I'm starting to believe. He's comfortable throwing all 4 of his pitches. He mixes the pitches well. His command is pretty solid.
  6. Ragans just very, very good. When he's on with his command he's very tough to hit.
  7. No. Suspensions for on-field incidents do not allow you to replace the player on the roster while the suspension is being served.
  8. They will very, very likely increase. The BB-rate in the International League is currently 11.6% compared to 9.1% in the Southern League. The ABS strike zone is much smaller and less forgiving than human zones.
  9. This is a guy who has played 144 and 154 games the last 2 seasons. I don't think it's an automatic bet that he's going back on the IL at some point this season.
  10. They are also missing the guy who was the best hitter in that stretch. Did you forget that?
  11. Seems like Thompson still isn't fully healthy because his velo is still down.
  12. Sanchez is on the active roster and is the backup catcher.
  13. Through Peralta's start today this is how our SP has fared on the year. 105 ERA- (16th) 118 FIP- (29th) 110 xFIP- (26th) 4.35 SIERA (26th) 20.3% K-rate (25th) 9.4% BB-rate (25th) 1.35 WHIP (22nd) 88.8 Avg EV (12th) 9.3% barrel rate (27th) 37.4% hard hit rate (14th) Hopefully Hall finds the velo coming off the IL and can help out the rotation otherwise this feels like an issue that will plague the team all season.
  14. Assad has one of the lowest ERA's in the MLB since July last year. He doesn't have amazing stuff but he just continues to get great results.
  15. Not really. Freddy just sucked today and couldn't throw strikes. If he pitched well that strategy would have sucked.
  16. Think the Cubs should be pretty comfortable division favorites at this point. Seems like they will be getting Steele, Hendricks, Suzuki, and Bellinger back this week. Wesneski and Brown moving to the pen full time will really solidify their bullpen and their rotation is just so much better than ours. Lineups are probably closer to even, but the gap in SP seems so significant at the moment.
  17. Joey Ortiz on the bench again. 3 days in a row. Tyler Black still hitting 3rd. Pain.
  18. How can you match an offer you weren’t given a chance to match? Counsell never gave the Brewers a chance to match.
  19. He made a catch in CF to end the 1st inning and that was the last thing he did before he was removed in the 2nd inning. I went back and watched and didn't see anything in the play, so no clue what it could be if it was an injury.
  20. You can watch MiLB games through an MLB At Bat subscription. It's $29.99 for the season or $3.99 a month.
  21. Brock Wilken’s first PA on the rehab assignment was of course a HBP
  22. It's a left knee injury not a left ankle. Until they get the MRI results today it's way too soon to know.
