  1. Pretty incredible. It looked like a major injury the way he crumpled to the ground and was incapable of putting weight on his left leg while coming off the field.
  2. I don't know how you figure that. Both active rosters have 111 wRC+ and the Yankees have a SP matchup on paper.
  3. Pretty sure Murphy said the plan with Black was 4 games a week at 1B and 2 games a week at 2B. The fact that he's only played 1 game at 3B all year definitely seems on the noteworthy side for me.
  4. 35 combined strikeouts in Carolina's 3-1 loss. Judging by hitter reactions it might have been the biggest strike zone since Greg Maddux was in Atlanta.
  5. Nashville working a bit of a rally here in the 8th inning. Patrick Dorrian to the plate. Can he break out of his April slump? He's currently 1-42 in April.
  6. Lots of strike outs looking in Carolina tonight. The camera angle isn't very good, but a lot of the hitters did not look pleased at the strike 3 calls on both teams. Yophery in particular looks like he had to bite his tongue.
  7. Do they contemplate sending Ashby to AA or would they just send him to the complex league to work on stuff? Can't be good for a guys confidence to struggle this much in AAA.
  8. Cooper Pratt just hit in the right hand with a pitch. Fingers crossed.
  9. Knoth is tomorrow. He's just been pitching on Friday's. Looks like Saturday is Galindez.
  10. So MiLB.com had Letson listed as the SP today for most of the week. Now Jesus Rivero is listed as the SP and Letson isn't listed for the rest of the series. Hopefully Letson is just second half of the piggy back this week. Birchard already went down with an injury. Don't want to see it happen to another young ranked pitcher.
  11. Numbers guy. I'd have no issues with Megill closing. He's got nasty stuff.
  12. Would you really want Turang to be running as much with guys like Contreras and Yelich at the plate?
  13. Freddy with about as ugly a pitch map you could see in that 1st inning. Basically everything was either center cut or non-competitve.
  14. They all had pretty low pitch counts and were on multiple days rest coming in. It’d be pretty concerning if they weren’t able to turn around and be available tomorrow. Pitches in the last 5 days from tomorrow’s perspective Peguero - 26 Megill - 16 Payamps - 20
  15. Bullpen should be pretty fine for tomorrow. I'd bet Payamps, Megill, Peguero, Uribe, Milner, Vieira are all available. Hudson is the only guy who likely is totally unavailable.
  16. Pirates are owed a few. Ump has definitely favored us today.
  17. Definitely miss the big run scoring games and stress free wins that's for sure.
  18. He's been incredible in a not so easy role. Kind of want to go find the trade thread and see what the consensus reactions were to that trade.
  19. We won't know until they are home next, but Javik said it was being worked on.
  20. Rea and Ross both average 5 IP a start, so that's not quite accurate. It's pretty risky bringing a guy whose stretched for 4 innings and 50 pitches up for an MLB start. 1 bad inning and you might get a 2 inning start from him.
  21. They should definitely give him a shot, but he's not even re-stretched out yet. He threw 4.1 innings and 49 pitches today. Give him another start to bump those up to 5 and 75.
