    Yeah a good outing and probably how he needs to pitch to find success until he gets back to his pre-injury velo levels. It does suck a bit to watch him basically have to be a junkballer to get by in AAA, but maybe in the long run this will benefit Ashby as a pitcher.

    Ashby not really locating well at all, but I don't think these Norfolk hitters have any clue what pitch he's about to throw. He's thrown all 5 of his pitches between 15 and 21 times.

    Smith turned it around. Infield popup then two strikeouts. Good job from him not letting the inning spiral.

    Shane Smith's struggles have made an appearance in inning number 2. Single, double, single to open the inning for the Smokies and it's suddenly a tight game again 5-3.

    Yophery starts out the 9th with another strikeout. I was hoping that strikeout rate would have started to trend down at this point, but it continues sitting in that mid to upper 30's range.

    Ernesto Martinez just hit an absolute bomb. Unfortunately no EV or distance, but I did not see the ball drop over the fence in RF.

    KC Hunt and Garcia combine for the old strike 'em out, throw 'em out double play to send the Mudcats to the plate for a chance at a walk off. Nice tight slider that the hitter swung right underneath.

    They can recall someone. His suspension won't be served until he's back in the MLB.

    I can't imagine the appeal process will take a week.

    Because Freddy isn't playing during the appeal process, will these games retroactively count towards his suspension? If not feels like appealing was a pretty silly move.

    Somehow this Brewer game wasn't the strangest MLB game tonight. The Dbacks-Dodgers game was delayed because a bee hive was in the netting behind homeplate.

    I'm honestly a bit terrified to see what that Norfolk lineup does to Aaron Ashby tomorrow. The pitches they hit out against Gasser were not bad pitches and they crushed them.

    I doubt Uribe and Siri get that many. Ramirez and Anderson only got 3 and 6 respectively last year.

    Another 1-2-3 inning for Rodriguez. He's been a weak contact machine today. Pretty much everything is off the end of the bat.
