  1. Very rough times going on in the DSL and ACL for the Brewers right now. With both DSL teams looking like they are going to lose today, that would have those 3 teams combined to lose their last 17 games with the most recent win being Brewers DSL 1 beating Brewers DSL 2.
  2. I keep watching it and I cannot get over how both umps said it wasn't a swing.
  3. For those interested in watching one of the worst check swing calls I have ever seen, it is right at 3:00:00 in the Timber Rattlers broadcast today.
  4. Don't go watch his last batter. 3-2 count. Cornielle throws a FB a bit up and in. The hitter very clearly swung but played if off like a check swing and it was ruled a walk. I was absolutely speechless watching it happen.
  5. Bush is fresh, so doesn't really make sense to DFA him just to bring up another RP who they don't want pitching high leverage.
  6. Who are they optioning? Pannone is already up. Only other relievers with options are Milner, Peguero, and Williams and none of those 3 are getting optioned.
  7. 5th time pitching in 6 days for Hoby. This is a really tough ask for him.
  8. Houser finally got a big strike zone!
  9. Very doubtful considering he had 1.5 years of service time last year and this year is a true rental.
  10. Really wish Adames didn't have 5 years of service time so we could option him to AAA with Urias.
  11. Does Down East have like a white batter's eye or something? Why can the Mudcats never hit when they play there.
  12. For the 10,000th time, the league offensive environment was down last year because they were using dead baseballs. His OPS+ and wRC+ which are league adjusted stats were virtually identical in 2021 and 2022. Why does this need to be explained so often on this site?
  13. @Joseph ZarrMatthew Wood at DH today. Good to see after leaving yesterday's game early for what seemed like no apparaent reason.
  14. That was a very fun play. I don't recall the last time I saw a true steal of home like that.
  15. He was literally just as good in 2022 as he was in 2021???
  16. Arcia's career year is a bit extreme. It's halfway through the season and his underlying numbers are bad. He currently has a .363 BABIP which is 70 points over his career average. His .311 xwOBA would be around like a 90 wRC+. Which isn't exactly a career year.
  17. Think tonight either ends in a big win or a big loss. Brewers bullpen is a bit ravaged at the moment, so we might see Houser and Pannone eat innings tonight even if it means an L. Williams has pitched 3 of the last 4 days. Payamps had that slip/ankle roll so he could be down for a day. Peguero has pitched 4 of the last 5 days. Milner has pitched 4 of the last 5 days. Wilson has pitched 2 days in a row. I could see a world where Pannone and Bush are our only available RP tonight.
  18. Would be a great target, but he might be pricy. He's also overperforming his xwOBA by 20 points, so not sure his offensive production will maintain at his current level.
  19. Agreed although it would be pretty hilarious if we did trade for him for something not that important. Would make the Hader trade last year look even better.
  20. Feel like the fact it's Urias being optioned and not Monasterio that they specifically have something they want Urias to work on down in AAA.
  21. You beat me by like a second haha. Really curious how the clubhouse reacts to this. Specifically how Adames and Peralta react. Rowdy does not have options unfortunately.
  22. Tapia also seems like an easy DFA candidate when Taylor is ready again or Frelick gets the call.
  23. Yelich is on pace for a 5 fWAR season. That's well outperforming his contract, so no we don't need even more.
