  1. Bauers hasn't been platooning with anyone this year. He plays against both LHP and RHP.
  2. I wouldn't be too sure about him not getting traded but it's really nice to see him turn it on offensively here late in the year
  3. That game felt like a near carbon copy of the Cubs game on Wednesday
  4. It's long overdue to step in. It's been like this every game thread for weeks.
  5. I think Harrison is probably done for 2026. Not fooling anyone even with his velo up tonight.
  6. William might get to 20 HR at the rate. Could end up with 4 20 HR guys
  7. In MLB history he's 46th in fWAR in age 20-22 seasons at 11.1. Obviously very, very good but nowhere near Top 10 in history. Here's the link to the fangraphs leaderboard - https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/major-league?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&ind=0&startdate=&enddate=&sortcol=21&sortdir=default&pageitems=30&age=20%2C22&month=0&season1=1871&season=2026&pagenum=1
  8. Chourio's not even Top 10 from age 20-22 in wRC+ or fWAR just in the 2000's.
  9. Yeah I mean even if you just look at the 2000's he's 17th in wRC+ and 31st in fWAR in age 22 seasons
  10. I'm sorry but this isn't even close to true. Chourio currently is 122nd in fWAR in MLB history in an age 22 season
  11. Brewers are hitting the ball in the air more in general so far in September than they have any other month this year. GB rate is 40.9% this month compared to a previous low of 45.8%
  12. I don't know but I certainly don't think Harrison can be assumed especially moreso now that they said they are shifting him to the bullpen to try and build his confidence up.
  13. I don’t think you can assume Harrison will be in the playoff rotation at this point.
  14. Another messy brewer fanatic game thread lol
  15. The only scenario Misiorowski is pitching game 7 of the NLCS is if the Brewers went to game 5 in the NLDS. Otherwise he'd be set up to pitch game 1 and game 5 of the NLCS.
  16. I disagree. Both pitches that Contreras didn't challenge against Busch were not easy challenges because Sproat missed the target by like 2ft each time causing Contreras to reach to get the ball making it much harder to know if it caught the zone or not.
  17. What I'm seeing arm angle wise is that he should probably be using a three pitch mix against LHH going FB, FC, CB and a two pitch mix against RHH going SI, SW?
  18. The thing is I’m not even sure you could trust him in a game that doesn’t matter because you still need to trust him to get outs even if the runs allowed don’t matter. Brewers could have been winning by 15 runs yesterday and Sproat still wouldn’t have been able to finish that game because his pitch count was so out of control. They like him enough where they aren’t going to let him throw his arm off to get desired amount of outs
  19. Yeah totally sarcastic that I'm questioning people saying they wanted Uribe gone when he put up a sub 2.00 ERA in his rookie year
  20. Corbin Burnes had way worse results but he flashed substantially more upside than Sproat has ever flashed. Just look at a comparison of the underlying numbers. Burnes had a 3.37 xFIP, 21.3% K-BB, and 17.2% swinging strike rate in 2019. Sproat not counting today had a 4.29 xFIP, 12.6% K-BB, and 10.3% swinging strike rate this year. I know you said you aren't comparing them that deeply but I would caution people to think that just because Burnes turned it around that Sproat will also be able to do it. Sproat has significantly less skill to work with than Burnes did.
  21. As soon as he threw that pickoff to nobody, I knew Uribe would be coming in. Right then and there you could tell he mentally wasn't locked in and was going to melt down.
  22. Was a bit of a grinder for Henderson today but that's another very good start
  23. From the coaches I'd guess yes. Don't want to be burning a challenge up big on the offensive side.
  24. Think I'd call it a day there for Henderson. 80 pitches through 4 with a very high pitch 4th inning.
