Dom also touches on the fact that this will be a Fall Classic to remember and does not want people to ignore the games because of market size. The Brewers also have hired two new hitting coaches and let one go, and Dom breaks down the hires and more for this week's episode!" Via the "Brew Crew Scoop" Podcast: "We recapped the heartbreaking loss, talked about the Mets being the first team to beat the Brewers and not make the World Series, said bye to Willy and Devin, revisited our playoff picks, and previewed the Yankees-Dodgers World Series."
  7. Joseph, you and I were asked once and provided voting linkage via direct BrewerFanatic mail, but like you, I missed following up on the memo in the midst of MILB playoffs, AAA Link Reports, etc. There was no direct reminder at all when we missed the deadline. So, like you, my input is not reflected. It was a miscue on both our parts and also a site admin, and I believe we’re on the same page that it won’t be repeated next year.

Friday 10/18: Via the "Wisconsin Sports Daily Show" with Steve "Sparky" Fifer: "Baseball Analyst Bruce Levine discusses the huge ramifications of the Brewers' new media right deal with the MLB and why it may result in more small market teams going up for sale." *** Sunday 10/20: Via the Journal Sentinel Podcast: "The Brewers season ... still over, and now the Mets are done, too, after wreaking a little bit of extra postseason havoc. Could the Brewers have realistically hung with the Dodgers or Yankees in the playoffs? Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe discuss a number of things this week, from the postseason press conference, to the second act of reliever Jake Cousins to some early predictions about how free agency will go and even some names to discuss. But they also revisit some 2024 mysteries that still leave them puzzled. Why did the team insist on playing Rhys Hoskins at first base and Jake Bauers at designated hitter? Why did Bryan Hudson not get a postseason spot? Why did William Contreras keep catching so often? Why did they play ABBA in Game 3?" Latest Milwaukee Tailgate Podcast - "Spencer Michaelis of BrewerFanatic joined Jaymes and Ryan to discuss the Brewers season ending presser, some changes in the NL Central, the timely death of Bally's and a bunch of your questions.
  12. A bit of love for Cam Devanney here (Page Two):
  13. Unless Carlos D. Rodriguez signed a minor league deal with the Brewers to extend his relationship with the organization, he is set to become a minor league free agent, so the Rule 5 draft as it relates to Milwaukee would be a non-factor. If, as we learned Ernesto Martinez did, Rodriguez did sign for an additional year in the Crew's system, then yes, Rule 5 could come into play. Given the state of the first base position across MLB these days and Martinez' dominant second half with Biloxi, it seems it'd be shortsighted of the Brewers to not place Ernesto on the 40-man and avoid a Rule 5 loss. I wouldn't quite place Carlos D. in the 40-man conversation as of yet.

To get the whole thing, as well as Paul's Packer previews, sign up at the Ball and Glove level right here" *** Thursday 10/10: Via the "Wisconsin Sports Daily Show" with Steve "Sparky" Fifer: "Tim Muma of BrewerFanatic discusses the Brewers as they look forward to next season and what that means for the Brewers' roster and game plan in 2025." *** Friday 10/11: Via WSCO's "The Show with Leo and Balky (Hour One): Jack Stern of "BrewerFanatic" (go to the 06:15 minute mark) *** Monday 10/14: Via the "Barrel Banter Podcast": "Season Awards, Grades and Defining Stats" *** Tuesday 10/15: Via 97.3's "Brewing the Offseason": "Tim Allen and Hunter Baumgardt ask...how much baseball are you watching since the Brewers were eliminated?
