  1. Levering in love with the “shutdown” inning. Every time the Brewers score he brings it up.
  2. It’s a foul popup 20 feet in front of 3B and Levering says “ he just missed it”
  3. I’m not saying we shouldn’t trade those guys. I say trade them earlier like we did with Hader
  4. So is it time for the Brewers consider changing their practice of trading veterans with one year of control left to trading them with two years of control. Burnes for Ortiz and Hall. Ortiz is solid defensively but a questionable contributor at the plate. No idea on Hall. Williams for Durbin and Cortez. One hurt one in the minors. Would we get a better quality return for that extra year? Enough to offset missing out on Burnes/Williams/next guy for another year?
  5. No Made in the Carolina lineup tonight?
  6. Toughest question is how does MLB resolve the $334 million per year cash cow the Dodgers have with their broadcast rights? Is the only way a complete revenue sharing of monies from that? No way the Dodgers, Yankees agree to that.
  7. Homer brings up a Made extension of 15/150. What do you all think it would take after this year of Made blowing up Class A?
  8. Correct MA doesn’t owe us anything Correct he’s not in it to lose money But it is sports and the expectation is that you are trying to win a championship. You can argue spending money in and of itself doesn’t win that. But there are a lot of numbers that show a higher payroll is important in achieving that. That is where fans frustrations stem from.
  9. If we are going to dream they have the Hoskins trade lined up and we are golden.
  10. RIP my fantasy baseball teams have been and will always be Just a Bit Outside
  11. I say sign Verlander so then he will bring Ms Upton to the ballpark.
  12. But what if the 20 smallest market teams vote to do it. Is their vote less than the big market teams?
  13. No i didn’t realize he had that many years of control left. Not to mention the Hoskins issue
  14. Again I get all the answers and they are fair points. Maybe Crochet wouldn’t be enough but it feels like we are afraid of another Grienke so we say just to high of a cost and do not stick our neck out. Yelich, great trade. Felt like we were aggressive. Adames trade not as big of a trade and he had questions about his hitting. Turned out in our favor. Contreras, we took advantage of the A’s. If those trades were all in a short time period you would be excited about the prospects. The 1980 trade, Fingers Vokovich Simmons. That set us up to go to the World Series. That was a bold move. I’m old. I want to see another World Series. I guess my patience is as short as my life expectancy.
  15. I did Excuse my forgetfulness
  16. Pretty much a non event for the Brewers. A lot of blabber and nothing done.
  17. Do the Brewers have any other catching prospects in the pipeline?
  18. We did the Brewers version of “going for it” last year. Sanchez, Junis and Hoskins. Now we are paying the price. Sad off-season coming indeed.
  19. It sounds like, eventually, the Brewers would get more money. Does it mean the big market teams would get less?
  20. With the tv contract in limbo I think Black gets a long look at 3B. Rookie salary for him will help the team payroll immensely
