  1. Then again anything can happen in 7 games. We cant afford to go all in, and we might get lucky
  2. Freddy with a 4.24 ERA the first inning. 2.65, 1.59, 1.65 innings 2,3,4. He might lowkey benefit from the patented Koenig Opener
  3. I love watching Brice play defence
  4. I never felt he was going to sustain that 800+ OPS production and he is still productive, especially in an International League with diminished offensive production (.794 OPS in 2023 vs .773 in 2024) and improved pitching (5.17 ERA 1.536 WHIP in 2023 vs 4.93 and 1.475). Never a world beater but better than Capra. Yeah Brady has not been stellar this year but to be fair those numbers were inflated by a 1 IP 5 ER blowout on June 30. Prior to that he had a 3.00 ERA and 1.48 WHIP. Again, not stellar, but decent, and I like the fastball slider curve combo
  5. Ah I missed that. Thanks! Unrelated to the thread but in hindsight that Clarke trade was a disaster. Devanney has a .760 OPS with Omaha (would have been a waaaaay better option instead of Capra) and I really liked Brady's profile (he's been mediocre so far this year).
  6. Vinny Capra has appeared in 17 major league games for the Blue Jays and Pirates and has posted a .514 OPS. This season in 297 plate appearances with Nashville he has a .246/.333/.350/.683 slash line with 4 homers and 25 RBIs. Does he get DFA'd and Junk optioned once Civale is here?
  7. I like Barrios and wish him the best. We arent giving up too much really. He is having a solid season. There is a bit of an infield logjam in the low minors so we are trading from depth.
  8. The Hudson run of dominance had to end at some point. Oh well
  9. I'd give Keuchel one more start. Let him get shelled by the Dodgers. That probably gets us to the All-Star game if we use some openers.
  10. Yeah the guys on the IL will have to come back I forgot about them. Still, until that happens I'm not sure Kevin Herget is the definitive solution. DL Hall needs to start. Both he and Bryse give up a bunch of runs, so I'd rather give the kid innings to learn. Yoho is interesting. Has the stuff to be in the bigs yesterday. I don't know how the Brewers will handle him. He definitively makes it to Nashville by year's end, but I don't know if the Brewers select him this year. With 40-man and Rule-5 shenanigans I don't know if they want to lock up a roster spot. There's also the issue of service time. If he really is the future closer he seems to be, they'll want to keep him for 6+ years. Yeah Wilson excelled in the pen last year. I'd be tempted to get Patrick up here to give Wilson the long man role back
  11. Man Im sad to see Bryse, Payamps and Hoby regress. I know it makes sense and their peripherals were awful but I really wanted them to succeed. Not sure what the options in-house are though. Herget? All other relievers pitching well with the Sounds we have already tried except for Chirinos, Blackwood and Middendorf. Maybe try Bennett? Meeker again? Patrick in a relief role? Not sure. Bickford was just DFAd lol
  12. If only everyone was as positive as you treego...
  13. Steele through 2 in 13 pitches. Sheesh. Rhys .570 OPS and 34% strikeout rate in June by the way
  14. Ok so the Myers fairy dust has worn off
  15. Hall is scheduled to pitch 4 innings in Nashville today.
  16. robots... to be fair though Contreras did present that terribly
  17. Mitchell probably has the higher ceiling. If only he could stay on the field
  18. https://www.elmanana.com/deportes/reynosaenaccion/ruben-saldana-a-milwaukee/5860032 Originally from Reynosa, Tamaulipas in northern Mexico. According to the article the Brewers had been scouting him for over a year. Had also gotten interest from the Astros and Rangers. Has a 92mph fastball and some good breaking balls apparently.
