    I hate not seeing Ortiz. Top 100 prospect who we traded our ace for, a top 5 SP in MLB, and is OPSing in the .800s. I could understand not starting him vs lefties because he hasn't hit them well this year (I still think platooning prospects is stupid), but against a righty??? And the option is Dunn, with an OPS vs RHP almost 300 points less. A former Rule 5 pick that the Phillies were not looking to protect, who was traded for Robert Moore and Hendry Mendez, who were solid prospects but nowhere near the caliber of Ortiz. Dunn has a place in the team, sure. He is not the starting 3B

    No. Ask the question in July. We will know if we are actually competing. If we are still first in the division, it would be ridiculous to trade him, if we are 8 games behind on the Wild Card it might make more sense. By then the price will also be higher because demand increases at the deadline..

    Maybe every hitter is different and lets not predict Black's entire career in 15 AB's? Excessive movement ala Wiemer is definitively bad news but a leg kick is not inherently bad.

    Martin makes sense. Not very confident that he'll perform well but we will see. Might get DFA'd in a few days

    I was really high on Wood early last season when he was destroying Low-A pitching. Struggled in Wisco for the rest of the year and I thought he maybe plateaued. Small sample size and all that but I am glad to see him perform well this year. One can dream of one day seeing him in AmFam.

    I don't even live in the USA so this has been a great place to talk about the Brewers and baseball in general. There's always interesting discussions going on, and most debates are friendly and informed, and that is a rare thing to find in the Internet. As others have said, the minor leage work done by Joseph Zarr, Damuelle and Mass Haas is incredible, and I've learnt a ton from them. Only technical issue I've had is that, on mobile, ads on articles sometimes glitch and move you up and down. Its not frequent or too annoying so I dont mind it

    Tomorrow's game will be interesting. Boneheaded mobe by Uribe. Koenig was just sent down and cant come up unless there's an injury so I think the only guys on the 40-man are Martin and Ashby. Am I wrong? Will Martin get the Pannone treatment from last year? Up for one game and DFA?
